00:00Valentine's Day, yeah, it's brilliant. Been with our lass a long time, yeah and it's
00:07get to show her, buy her stuff and all that lot, you know, nice sunflowers, check her
00:11out for the day and then I'm saving for the rest of the year for Christmas. We still treat
00:16Valentine's Day as the day we met, you know what I mean? Young love.
00:20I met my husband in the old-fashioned way. We were introduced by friends, met in a bar,
00:25so we weren't part of that sort of early online dating and I guess the main thing about
00:30it is sticking together, stickability, not abandoning things at the first sign of trouble.
00:36I'm going to take my wife out, Tina, on Valentine's Day. I'm going to cook a nice little meal.
00:45I'd say Leeds is a very loving city, you know, there are a lot of queer people about, which
00:50I love personally. I didn't like Wakefielders, they were very boring people, they were very
00:55boring lives. No offence to Wakefielders, I love the city, it's just, everything there
01:00was kind of very beige. Yeah, it's a city of lovers I'd say. And, you know, a lot of people
01:09like me hate Valentine's Day or they have a very negative view of it because they think,
01:12oh, it's a very corporate holiday, you buy people chocolates, you buy people this. It's
01:17like, you don't have to buy people things. I mean, for Valentine's Day, I mean, I never got
01:22anyone anything because I've never had really had a girlfriend or a boyfriend. But I usually,
01:28if I would, I would have gotten them something personal.
01:30A lot of these dates are, you know, a great way to get money out of you. However, I think
01:36it's a great solution, right? You know, you don't have to wait for a specific date to
01:40give flowers, you know, roses, whatever, something little to your wife, to your partner, to your,
01:45you know, other half. And that's the perfect opportunity. If you forget around the year, you know,
01:49there's always dates that you can rely on. And then you see the marketing all around,
01:52you know, dinners, flowers, chocolate. What I found is, especially if you go to university,
01:58and if you get yourself out there on nights out and stuff, especially student nights, you
02:03do tend to meet quite a lot of people. And I think for a majority of people, you can meet,
02:07meet, well, partners and stuff, create relationships on nights out. I'm single. I'm not dating.
02:16So yeah, I don't have much to tell you about that. But yeah, cool. Like, yeah, people should
02:20go for love. But in reality, not online. That will be nice. Yeah, go for it, everybody.
02:25Happy Valentine's, darling. We don't need Valentine's Day. You know, Valentine's Day
02:31every day for me, for me.
02:33I think love in any way, shape or form is a good thing. Spread love, you know, keep pushing
02:39it. Yeah, it's good. It's a good thing.
02:42People have a checklist of things. And those checklists sometimes aren't helpful. Because
02:47you can say, I want this, this and this. But sometimes we just don't get that as people.
02:54There's too many idiosyncrasies for you to say that. So I'm a big believer in, you know,
02:58if it works, stick with it.
