00:00He played very poorly in the playoffs, but they won.
00:02They got to the Super Bowl.
00:04This was a team that certainly no one in this room, I mean,
00:08John and I were very glib about any predictions that had them winning nine games.
00:14So I thought everyone was a huge homer.
00:18I mean, some are huge homers, but they were right.
00:21They won 14 games.
00:22And they made, regardless of competition and regardless of the,
00:28aside from the AFC Championship game, which they were basically handed,
00:33and they really were, you can't take anything away from them.
00:38I mean, they got to the Super Bowl, and that's a massive accomplishment.
00:43The schedule will be much more difficult next season,
00:45but there's no reason to think they'll be worse.
00:49Now, will they be 14-3?
00:51No.
00:52I think your biggest problem as a Patriots fan who was all in on them doing well
00:56and, you know, making the postseason,
00:59your biggest problem is that all season long you had to hear about the schedule
01:03and how the only reason why they're winning these games is because of the schedule.
01:06And even though they had the playoff wins,
01:10that all came home to roost in the postseason.
01:13You saw the way they played and how they were finally taken care of
01:19by a team that was not hampered by a backup quarterback or a quarterback who just appeared
01:25like he didn't want to be there, which is what you faced in the Houston playoff game,
01:29when you went up against a really good team like you did against Buffalo.
01:35Now, Buffalo, you had a better offensive showing for sure,
01:38but when you went up against a really good team with a really good defense,
01:42that chorus of voices that was nagging you all season long about how you only got there
01:47because of the schedule, that stings today too.
01:49All right.
01:53All right.
02:02Let's go.
