00:02:04Their £1.5 million house, complete with £20,000 agar and £3,000 coffee maker, immediately tells you money is not an issue.
00:02:15This is definitely my favourite room in the house, especially when all the kids come home and we have family dinners, family celebrations.
00:02:25Who wants a margarita, guys?
00:02:27The Botterells have four grown-up children, and the house has been their family home for over 20 years.

00:02:36Four bedrooms upstairs, plenty of bathrooms, lots of room for everybody.
00:02:40There's a big cinema room.
00:02:41And when it comes to the outside of their millionaire pad, no expense has been spared.
00:02:48Then there's the pool, which has been great, hasn't it?
00:02:52It's really been good over the years, when the children were little.
00:02:55And also the sauna's really useful.
00:02:57I think that's, like, such a healthy thing to have a sauna.
00:03:01Healthy and exclusive, home saunas don't come cheap.
00:03:06We've got an amazing garden as well.
00:03:08The kids had their own skate park, and the tennis court came in useful for all sorts.
00:03:14All the kids have learnt to ride their bikes on there.
00:03:16It's been a cricket pitch, it's a basketball court.
00:03:19Now they've grown up and moved out, these empty nesters have been able to indulge their love of travel.
00:03:25Doing new and exciting things, seeing different places.
00:03:29And some of those trips will be in five figures.
00:03:31That's definitely where we spend our money.
00:03:33However, life hasn't always been so full of luxury.
00:03:38My dad was a policeman, and my mum was a dinner lady.
00:03:40But there was no spare money.
00:03:42I was very similar.
00:03:43Dad repaired washing machines.
00:03:45My mum was a secretary.
00:03:48The couple met working in a bank.
00:03:50But then came a eureka moment.
00:03:52We went on a tour of Solihull School, a private school.
00:03:58And it absolutely blew my mind.
00:04:00As someone that came up in the comprehensive system, and having seen these amazing facilities,
00:04:05I wanted to send my kids there and realise that I couldn't do that whilst I was working for somebody else.
00:04:10Today, they jointly own and run one of Europe's biggest business advice centres.
00:04:15We have a business called Entrepreneur Circle that exists to help and inspire business owners to achieve more than they ever felt possible.

00:04:37So, why would two people with zero money worries want to swap lives with a family at the end?

00:05:12There'll be some people on low incomes right now who are just a couple of insights away from things being very, very different.
00:05:21A little bit of guidance and pointers.
00:05:23Their lives can be transformed, and I'm hoping that we might see some of that this week.
00:05:27And I think it will be really interesting to see if we can still have such a happy and contented life on a much smaller budget.
00:05:38Oh, it's heavy.
00:05:39That's because she's packed for six weeks, not six days.
00:05:4790 miles northeast is the historic cathedral city of Lincoln.
00:05:51It's home to 42-year-old care worker Becky, her two adult children, and partner Damien, 43, a parcel courier.
00:06:03He's an amazing stepdad, and they look at him like a role model.
00:06:07Becky's son Ty will be joining them on the swap.
00:06:10He's always been there for me, no matter what.
00:06:12She knew Damien, or Damo, as his friends call him, from school days.
00:06:18I added you on Facebook, didn't I?
00:06:19Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:06:20And then we met out, didn't we?
00:06:22And then we've been together ever since for eight years.
00:06:25Home's a housing association semi-detached in urgent need of some TLC.
00:06:30We've got things falling apart, so it's a nightmare.
00:06:34I hate this carpet, because as soon as you walk through the front door, it's there in front of you, so all your guests can see.
00:06:40It's dangerous. It, like, falls apart, comes away. Everyone slips on it.
00:06:45Upstairs is pretty cramped. The four of them have to fit in two bedrooms and a box room.
00:06:52The wallpaper's coming off.
00:06:55You know when you just want to make it home and be comfortable, it's just, it's not my sanctuary. It breaks my heart.
00:07:02The family spends a lot of time in the garden, and their pride and joy is the swimming pool, one of Becky's bargain buys.
00:07:10Got it for half price, so I got it for $80.
00:07:14The garden needs to tidy up, but it's a cash problem.
00:07:17My garden, at the moment, is a tip. It's a mess.
00:07:21It's this bit. If I could find a way to hide it or afford to pay for a skip, I would.
00:07:26When we get our wages, it goes straight out to bills, doesn't it?
00:07:29So we don't have that extra.
00:07:31It's not for the want of trying.
00:07:33Like over a million Brits struggling to get by, Becky has two jobs.
00:07:37She does three days at a care home, and outside that, casual cleaning work for the elderly.
00:07:43If I didn't have the jobs, and we just depended on Damo's job or just on one wage, we wouldn't have a house.
00:07:48We'd be on the streets. But I do get quite tired and grumpy, don't I?

00:07:51Damian also works long hours, but after paying bills and rent, they manage on just 30 quid a week for food.
00:07:59Becky watches every penny.
00:08:02I use the air fryer because it's cheaper, and it's quicker, and it saves so much on my electricity bill.
00:08:10Nothing comes before family for Becky and Damian, and despite money being short, they have some fun times.

00:08:32And when it comes to money, we could be a bit happier on that side, couldn't we?

00:08:59Damian's passion is cars.
00:09:01One of my dreams would be to actually own my own car wallet business.
00:09:05Would like to get my son involved in it as well, because he has struggled to find a job.

00:09:14We bounce off each other, so no matter what, nothing's a dull moment.
00:09:17We'd have a good laugh and a joke along the way, wouldn't we?

00:09:26To do it mobile, you would need a van, and you'd need to kick the van out with all the equipment that you do need to do the job.

00:09:33It's roughly between £10,000 and £15,000.
00:09:36That figure is something that I would never see being affordable.
00:09:39And if money was no object, what else would they do?
00:09:44We would love to get married, wouldn't we?

00:09:47We'd do the bungee jumping, we'd do the skydiving.
00:09:49Just adrenaline, anything.
00:09:51We like them sort of things, because of them few minutes, you're basically free, you've got no worries.
00:09:56So, what are their hopes for the swap week?
00:09:59We can go and do a food shop and not worry about going into a supermarket and me getting my calculator out going,
00:10:04actually, I can't add that, so I can't wait to go and get food.
00:10:06But they also want to prove something to the rich family.
00:10:10A lot of posh people think poor people just sit on their bums all day on benefits, but I want to show them that there's people out there that work extremely hard, like we do.

00:22:42I feel that was quite a depressing start to the day, seeing that, and then knowing you're going to go into the shower that's kind of mouldy and damp.

00:22:58It's nice not to wake up and stress and think, I've got to be at work at a stupid o'clock in the morning.
