00:00We're going to see a tropical low just off Broome right now.
00:05It's going to continue moving offshore, and as it does so, it's going to intensify.
00:10We're likely to see it develop into a tropical cyclone tomorrow morning, intensify through
00:15Saturday and Saturday night, possibly come in a Category 2 system, and then as we move
00:19into Sunday, depending on how close it is to the coast, it could either develop further
00:23or maintain that Category 2 strength as it moves towards the Exmouth area, and then
00:29possibly crosses the coast sometime late Sunday into Sunday night.
00:34Very active couple of days and a weekend across the Pilbara coast as we watch what is likely
00:40to be a tropical cyclone Mitchell over the weekend.
00:42Not named right now, tropical low right now, likely to develop into a tropical cyclone off
00:47the coast of Pilbara tomorrow morning.
00:49Rain's going to be a big story across our coastal parts, because it's going to sit a fairway
00:53off the coast.
00:54We're looking at probably widespread 50 to 100 millimetres, but once that cyclone goes
00:59west of you, that's when we get that onshore flow component.
01:02And what I mean by that, that's the wind coming off the ocean onto the land, and that's where
01:06we could see those heavier falls for our coastal areas, you know, 50 to 100 isolated falls higher
01:11than that.
01:12But it's not until it goes towards crossing Sunday into Monday, as it crosses the around
01:16the Exmouth area and possibly moves down into the Gascoigne region on Monday.
01:20That is when we'll see widespread falls of one to 200 millimetres with isolated falls higher
01:26than that.
01:27But as always, the rainfall is highly dependent on the exact track and intensity of the cyclone
01:32this weekend.
