00:09So let's get to what people are buzzing about right now.
00:12A little over two weeks since, he checked himself for hospital diagnosis and prescribed treatment of a strict diet and rest.
00:20Pumped up, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the launching of the Tesla Skills Passport Mobile Program or application in the city of San Juan early this afternoon.
00:30Lending his presence to the event underscores the President's vow and his administration's push to develop a Filipino workforce that is digitally up to speed and at par with regional and or global standards and workplace demands.
00:45Tesla's Digital Skills Passport is an all-in one software or program that opens access to trainings, scholarships and job opportunities and created to document learner competencies,
00:57support customized learning methods and practices and link skills and training to employment prospects.
01:04In addition, the application affords users to securely store, manage and showcase their abilities and credentials.
01:11In his speech, the President said his administration has made huge investments in education and skills development while leveraging technology to bring training and employment opportunities to the Filipino people.
01:24Today's event tells the administration's thrust toward comprehensive digitalization of governments' transactions and services and commitment in upgrading workforce competitiveness.
01:37Six Chinese suspects are in the custody of the Philippine National Police after being nabbed earlier today in running an illegal cigarette factory in Mexico, Pampanga, which the police eventually shut down.
01:49The raid conducted close to noontime today was spearheaded by the police authorities, Bureau of Customs officers and the DILG, led by Agency Head Juan Cho Secretary John Victor Mulya, who then held the press briefing at the site in Barangay Panipuan.
02:05Along with the six Chinese now in police inquest, 63 Filipino workers laboring under sweatshop conditions were also liberated in this clear human trafficking slash smuggling slash tax evasion case.
02:19Rimulya said three cigarette manufacturing machines and two packing machines capable of producing an estimated $150 million worth of cigarettes daily for equal to $4.5 billion were seized in the raid.
02:33All 63 Filipinos set to free after the raid said they were promised a P15,000 monthly wage each by their Chinese handlers but have yet to be paid.
02:43For his part, PNP Chief General Jose Malencho Nortates Jr. said this latest raid is just part of a bigger campaign to track and trace the entire supply chain of contraband from ports of entry to clandestine sites like this one.
02:57Bureau of Customs, Comish Ariel, Nepomucena highlights his agency's commitment to protect the government from economic sabotage and vowed even greater cooperation with the police and DILG and anti-crime efforts moving forward.
