00:00There are a couple of pandemics going on. The pandemic of COVID, but also the pandemic that
00:06we face as black people. We deserve everything that everyone else has and we have to be willing
00:12to fight and stand up for it. When this is over, there will be a normalcy and we'll be able to go
00:17out more. I think people will be more appreciative of artists because I believe it's the artists
00:22who are helping people survive this. I do work with young people in the art,
00:27mostly because I'm older than them, but I'm fine with it. A lot of them feel hopeless. They feel
00:34afraid. They don't understand why we're in the situation we're in now. It's hard for me to
00:41understand. I feel encouraged because these same young people, they have a desire to make things
00:47better for the long haul. It's important to vote to be heard. A lot of people in general don't feel
00:54that their vote counts. Your vote counts. We always hear, well, people died for our vote.
00:58That is true, but that is not the only reason because we're living today and we have to make
01:05sure that other voices that are not in line with what we know will make the world a better place.
01:10We have to make sure that those voices are not the only ones being heard. Take it to the streets,
01:15but also take it to that ballot box. You have to do both because as loud as your voice was,
01:20your voice is not going to be heard in that arena where it needs to be heard to make that change.
