00:00If your Instant Pot Duo won't turn on and the display stays blank, check the power connection first.
00:07Here's how to get it working.
00:08Step 1. Check the power cord connection.
00:11The Instant Pot Duo has a detachable power cord.
00:14Unplug the cord from the wall outlet.
00:16Check the connection at the back of the Instant Pot base.
00:19Push the cord firmly into the socket until it clicks.
00:22Plug it back into the wall outlet and check if the display shows off.
00:26Step 2. Test a different outlet.
00:28Your wall outlet may have tripped or lost power.
00:32Unplug the Instant Pot Duo and plug it into a different outlet in another room.
00:36If the display turns on, the original outlet is the problem.
00:40Reset the circuit breaker or use a different outlet.
00:43Step 3. Check for a blown fuse.
00:46If the display is still blank after trying different outlets, the internal fuse may have blown from a power surge.
00:51Power surges happen during storms or when your home electrical system experiences sudden voltage spikes.
00:57Plugging your Instant Pot Duo into a surge protector power strip prevents fuse damage from future surges.
01:04I've linked a surge protector in the description.
01:07If the fuse is already blown, contact Instant Pot support using the link in the description.
01:12Replacing a fuse yourself may void your warranty.
01:15Step 4. Inspect the power cord for damage.
01:18Look along the entire length of the cord for cuts, fraying, or exposed wires.
01:23Check both ends where the plug connects.
01:25If you see any damage, do not use the cord.
01:29Contact Instant Pot support for a replacement power cord.
01:32If your Instant Pot Duo still won't turn on after these checks, contact Instant Pot support using the link in the description.
01:38If this helped you get your Instant Pot Duo powered back on, subscribe to No Filler Fixes for more fast appliance help.
01:44And if you still need a surge protector power strip, I've linked one below.
01:48It protects your Instant Pot from voltage spikes that can blow the internal fuse.
01:52Thanks for watching, and now you can power through dinner.
