Can the Ninja PossibleCooker MC1001 cooking pot go in the oven? Yes, but only up to 500°F (260°C), and the glass lid cannot. This video explains safe oven finishing techniques, when to use the oven for crispy tops, how to avoid thermal shock, and why the lid must stay out.

00:00Fix it fast. The Ninja Possible Cooker cooking pot is oven safe, but there are limits and
00:04techniques you need to know before you move it from base to oven. Here's how to use oven finishing
00:09safely and when it actually helps. Step 1. Know the temperature limit. The removable cooking pot
00:16is oven safe up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit or 260 degrees Celsius. This applies to the pot only.
00:23The glass lid is not oven safe and will crack under oven heat. The base unit must never go in
00:28an oven. Step 2. Understand when oven finishing works. You can finish your meal in the oven for
00:34a crispy top. This is useful after slow cooking pulled pork, braised short ribs, or casseroles where
00:39you want a browned crust or caramelized surface. Transfer the pot from the cooker base directly to
00:44the preheated oven without the lid. The nonstick coating can handle oven heat at or below the 500
00:50degree limit. Step 3. Use oven mitts for every transfer. The pot becomes extremely hot during
00:56oven use. The handles stay attached, but they heat up just like the rest of the pot. Always use thick
01:02oven mitts rated for high heat when moving the pot in or out of the oven. If you're regularly finishing
01:07dishes in the oven, silicone oven mitts with textured grips handle the weight and heat better than fabric
01:12mitts. I've linked a pair rated to 500 degrees in the description. Step 4. Never use the lid in the
01:18oven. The glass lid will crack or shatter under oven heat. If you need to cover food while oven finishing,
01:24use aluminum foil loosely tented over the pot. Do not seal it tightly or you will trap steam and
01:29lose the crisp finish you are trying to create. Step 5. Let the pot cool before washing. After
01:35removing the pot from the oven, place it on a heat-safe trivet or cooling rack. Do not place
01:40it directly on cold countertops or run cold water into a hot pot. Thermal shock can warp the pot or
01:46damage the nonstick surface. Let it cool naturally for at least 15 minutes before handling or cleaning.
01:51If your pot warps, the nonstick coating bubbles or the handles loosen after oven use, the pot was
01:57likely exposed to temperatures above 500 degrees or subjected to thermal shock. Contact Ninja Support

02:14heat oven mitts, I've linked the silicone pair I use below. They're rated to 500 degrees and grip the pot

02:23Thanks for watching and now you can take it from cooker to oven without the guesswork.
