00:00Education in Africa emerged as the number one lever for transforming the continent at the World Government Summit in Dubai.
00:07The challenge is all the more critical given that by 2050, nearly half of Africa's population will be under the age of 25,
00:15making educational needs both massive and urgent.
00:18I mean, education is a very expensive sector and is a sector that gives benefits in the long term.
00:25You don't see within the year the results of your investment.
00:29And so, unfortunately, many governments, they deprioritize, you know, education.
00:34But I think that now there is more attention to the fact that countries really want to grow.
00:40I mean, particularly in Africa, I see that.
00:42I think that 2024, having been for the African Union, the year of education,
00:47has really put the emphasis on how important it is to prepare the next generation of young people
00:54to actually be part of the growth process for the continent.
00:58To fund education across the continent, discussions are shifting away from relying solely on aid
01:04toward innovative financing solutions and stronger domestic tax systems.
01:10With Africa's largest population, Nigeria is positioning itself as a central player in this momentum.
01:16So we're not just waiting on, you know, all the challenges to go away.
01:21Nigeria is a leader, it's a global leader.
01:24And that is the way that we're looking at it.
01:25Our president is very active in that respect.
01:28And, you know, we as the federal government are working actively to ensure
01:32that he gives Nigerians the deliverables.
01:34Because if Nigeria works, Africa will work.
01:37And there is somewhat too consistent with defense in the world today.
01:48And that is a good question.
01:49I believe in the forgive.
01:50I believe in the burden of absence in space.
01:52Let's try everything to bear with you.
01:54And I don't allow somebody to embrace this person.
01:56Okay.
01:58So,ision.
02:00So, you know, of course, it's something that I can call this
02:02and I really enjoy.
02:02It's about right now.
02:03It is a very interesting one.
02:03Good one and a great time.
