00:04with design essentials natural and naturally curly to create a Halloween
00:08makeover transformation inspired by a popular music icon there are three
00:13different looks so if you'd like to see this transformation just keep watching
00:17for this look I'm starting on freshly cleansed hair using design essentials
00:21natural almond and avocado moisturizing and detangling shampoo and conditioner
00:25next I'm going to distribute the almond and avocado detangling leaving
00:29conditioner throughout my strands this look requires a few clip-ins for length so
00:36I'm going to install about four rows of the Indique C collection extensions in the
00:40Fiji curl style to help the extensions blend in with my hair I'm going to spray
00:50my hair with water then smooth the honey curl forming custard through my curls
00:59I want this to be a looser texture so I'm going to do a quick braid out the
01:06braids don't have to be perfect so don't worry about creating perfect parts while
01:11this braid out air dries I'm going to finish my makeup which consists of
01:14contoured cheeks a soft gold cut crease with a winged liner and lashes I'm adding
01:20a 90s brown lip and a soft mauve shade to my cheeks now that my braid out is dry
01:25I'm going to take it down and smooth my edges using the honey and shea edge tamer
01:29and an old toothbrush
01:31lastly I'm going to add a temporary hair color spray to create a warm brown
01:39shade for the costume I'm wearing black pants and a black halter vest that I've
01:43added faux buffalo bone beads to I've also added a matching beaded choker to
01:48complete the look to recreate this iconic look I'm starting by spritzing my hair
01:56with water then raking in design essentials natural almond and avocado
02:00detangling leave-in conditioner through my strands I'm going to place my hair
02:06into a low sleek bun and apply a wig cap to smooth and protect my strands from
02:10the friction of the wig because I'm not the best at braiding my hair in this
02:14fashion I purchased a braided wig to mimic the box braid style next I'm going to
02:19apply my braided wig and adjust it to properly fit my head the goal is to get
02:26all of these braids into a ponytail but this wig is pretty heavy so I'm going to
02:30add two ponytails the first one will use braids along the hairline and crown area
02:35and the second one will be with the remaining braids right underneath
02:40I've created a head wrap by cutting the bottom of an old white t-shirt to apply
02:48it I'm placing it over my head twisting it at the top and pulling both
02:52ponytails through the loop to make it look like one big ponytail if you have
02:56extra fabric create another loop to keep the ponytail tight this wig came with
03:02baby hair so I'm going to use the honey and shea edge tamer along my hairline and
03:06smooth it with a toothbrush to finish off this look I'm spritzing the curl control
03:13and shine mist all over my braids the makeup for this look is simple focusing
03:19on a soft pink blush gold eyeshadow on the lids a soft brown crease and black
03:25eyeliner for the lips I'm outlining in brown lip liner and filling them in with
03:29a sheer copper brown gloss for the rest of this costume I put on silver hoop
03:36earrings a thick silver chain necklace and a white blazer over a white v-neck
03:40t-shirt for the final look I'm going to start on damp hair then apply my design
03:48essentials almond and avocado detangling leave-in conditioner next I'm going to
03:55distribute a few pumps of the almond and avocado curl enhancing mousse
03:59throughout my curls and then dry my hair with the diffuser now that my hair is dry
04:04I'm going to start sectioning off many ponytails and adding the honey and shea
04:07edge tamer around each ponytail just a quick note that these sections do not
04:12have to be perfect because this is a unique style just be sure to smooth each
04:16section with the brush
04:21in total I have five ponytails that are all a bit off-center and to bulk these up
04:27I'm going to wrap a few tracks around the base of each ponytail these are the
04:31Indyx C collection BG curl style that look really similar to my own curls and I'm
04:36securing each wrap with bobby pins
04:41and to keep the height of these ponytails in place I'm adding mini butterfly clips
04:48this style is incomplete without a little temporary hair color so I'm using a
04:53bright red shade just on the actual ponytail to give it an ombre effect for the
04:57makeup I've used a burgundy red lip liner on my brows a plum blush a brown crease
05:02shade and black liner I'm lining my lips with a brown lip liner filling them in
05:07with a red lip color and then adding a copper eyeshadow on the center of my lips
05:11for the rest of my costume I'm going to add a fake nose ring a shiny statement
05:17necklace and I'm wearing a sheer red bodysuit with a gray racerback top
