00:15That's right, it's a week of tech, film, music, famous people, and tourists.
00:34Tens of thousands of people come to the city, and one of them is bound to piss us off.
00:39These are the types of people you'll see at South by.
00:45The lost person.
00:46You've seen them because they've run into you, because they didn't see you, because they
00:50were on their Google Maps looking for the convention center, which is right behind them.
00:54They're on Cesar Chavez looking for Cesar Chavez.
00:56They have the Cap Metro app, the South by official map, and they also have Google Maps, and they
01:01still don't know where they are.
01:03Then you have the person who needs you to know that they're only at South by Southwest for
01:07the interactive, because they're a coder.
01:10They code things.
01:11They probably work at Facebook, or Google.
01:14This person lists off all the coding languages they speak, Ruby Woo, is that what it's called?
01:20Ruby Woo.
01:21The badge slash wristband hoarder.
01:24This person has more badges and wristbands than you can number.
01:27They probably have stuff from last year or two years ago, but they're still wearing it
01:31because they want you to know that they're important.
01:33Why are you doing all this?
01:34You're not that cool.
01:35You're standing in line just like the rest of us, and if you don't have a platinum badge,
01:39like who even are you?
01:40You know what I mean?
01:41And of course, you have the Austinite.
01:45This person complains about traffic.
01:48This person complains about all the people blocking the streets.
01:51This person complains about the street closures, and you know what I'm saying?
01:55I don't leave my house.
01:56I mean, this person doesn't leave their house.
01:58The Austinite waxes poetic about the old South by, when South by was free.
02:02When South by was about the art, the artistry, all right?
02:06The community, not about a Dorito stage with a little weight backflipping off the half
02:12pipe.
02:13Okay?
02:14The person who's always looking for free stuff.
02:15This is me.
02:16I don't see anything wrong with this at all, actually.
02:18Free shades, free t-shirts, free food.
02:21I don't care what it is.
02:22I want it.
02:23And I will sign up for anything, download any app, talk to any person I need to talk
02:26to to get the free stuff, let me tell you.
02:28You'll know this person if you see them with like 30 swag bags, three pairs of shades,
02:33and t-shirts that have nothing to do with anything at all.
