00:03And today, we're going to be recreating popular beauty trends.
00:11So what we're going to do is I'm going to choose two beauty trends from here, and I'm
00:16going to try and recreate them to the best of my abilities.
00:19I have fake freckles.
00:22I already have freckles, but OK.
00:24Glitter under eyes.
00:26I got iridescent highlight and glitter lips.
00:32We have two-tone lips, glossy eyelids.
00:37OK.
00:39Let's get started.
00:41So I'm going to create fake freckles first.
00:44If I had to pick my freckles, I would probably put them like a nice little kissing of freckles
00:51right here.
00:52Nice little, you know.
00:53You just got to create the chocolate chips of your dreams on your face.
00:58Sometimes you get it right.
00:59Sometimes you don't.
01:00Guys won't like you either way, so.
01:02Freckles don't come in pairs.
01:04They come in cousins.
01:05Like three makes a set, right?
01:08You can't put two freckles.
01:09Nobody has freckles like that.
01:10I think you chose Mrs. Studio Girls, all I'm saying.
01:14Perfect your pointillism, that's an art word.
01:18And now your adorable, nerdy, bookish, but still extra Instagram sexy freckles are complete.
01:27So I'm going to start with iridescent highlight.
01:29So I feel like the iridescent highlight, like it's so light and purpley that it has to be
01:34a highlighter on my skin.
01:35I'm going to put this NYX glitter primer on my cheeks.
01:40And I'm pretty used to doing like a subtle daytime look.
01:43So I'm going to go ham on this.
01:45I feel like the secret to holographic is layering your highlights.
01:49I've been in like the pink range of highlights.
01:52Now we're going to switch gears into purple.
01:56See that?
01:57See that contrast?
01:58That's what you're really wanting to get on your face.
02:02I think that completes my look.
02:04It is really popping.
02:06All right.
02:07So for the glossy eyelid, I've seen it online and on Instagram.
02:11It's basically just, you want to look drenched, okay?
02:14You just want to look wet.
02:16So to achieve that, I'm going to remove the existing eyeliner I have and we'll start with
02:21like a clean slate.
02:22So it is an eyelid look, you know what I'm saying?
02:25So I do have to utilize some eyeshadow first and then put the gloss on top.
02:30You're going to just provide a wash of color and you're probably thinking like, man, I can't
02:35even really see, can't even really tell what you're doing, but that's the point of nude.
02:40So I think you have to like put eyeshadow in like the middle of your eyes so it looks
02:46like a, ooh, like a mirage really.
02:48My eyelids are sticking together.
02:51This is really more of like a, a callback to when everybody in like R&B and hip hop
02:57had some sort of like music video in the water and there was like fake Indian instrumentals
03:02in the background.
03:04But just to set it off, we really need mascara.
03:07I didn't know I had long lashes like this.
03:09I feel like I've successfully recreated glossy lids.
03:12I feel drenched.
03:13I feel moisturized.
03:1410 out of 10.
03:15I know.
03:16So since the next beauty trend is glitter under eyes, the photos I saw of people putting glitter
03:23under their eyes, it sort of looked like they had those fancy little sparkle thingies.
03:27I feel like gold is going to be the best route here.
03:32This reminds me of like being a kid in arts and crafts and like making your mom a gift
03:37and like a Christmas card where you put like the Elma's glue down and you spell her name
03:41and glue and then you just throw glitter on top and then you shake it and then now her
03:45name is written in glitter.
03:47This is kind of the same thing because you basically, you just throw glitter on your face.
03:50I think that's it for the glitter under eyes.
03:54I feel like I mastered both of these trends.
03:56Okay.
03:57So the next trend that I'm going to be trying is glitter lips.
04:00I think I've done this one time before.
04:03I don't remember how it went, which probably means it wasn't exceptional.
04:06I can't do a lot of talking because I'm trying to get it on my lips.
04:12Probably won't be able to eat anything else today because how do you, I don't want to ingest
04:16all this glitter.
04:17I feel like that's bad for my intestines though.
04:20Yes.
04:21Look at that.
04:22It kind of feels like dating at the dentist because you kind of have to like keep your
04:25an alcohol in.
04:26You have to talk like this and no one can really understand you.
04:30I would give myself a 95% out of 100.
04:32I slayed the glitter lips.
04:34Probably harder than I slayed the holographic highlight.
04:37Moving on, two-toned lips.
04:40So I'm thinking either orange and pink, red and pink, or purple and orange.
04:46We'll see how the spirit moves me.
04:48You really can't rush art.
