00:00Hey Naturally Curly World, it's Nikki and Evelyn.
00:03Let's face it, we put off our wash day longer than we should.
00:07The result?
00:08Dry, undefined curls and coils.
00:11We received the new Coconut & Minoy line from Design Essentials and we put it to the test.
00:15Here's how we went from this to this.
00:20If I don't style my Type 4 hair, it does this.
00:23It's dry, undefined, and lacks shape.
00:26So first, I'll moisturize my tapered cut with the Design Essentials Coconut & Minoy
00:32Coconut Water Curl Refresher.
00:34I love using spray leave-ins.
00:36They make my fur more pliable and soften it up for styling.
00:41Next, I sectioned off the top layer of my hair and applied the Design Essentials Coconut & Minoy
00:46Deep Moisture Milk Cream to the shorter back and sides.
00:50I distributed it through my coils and started twisting.
00:54I divided the top into smaller sections and two-strand twisted those as well.
01:00The milk cream gave my hair awesome shine and helped me smooth down the hair cuticle,
01:04which makes for a defined frizz-free twist out.
01:07Nikki's turn.
01:10This is my five-day wash and go.
01:12It's frizzy, dry, and has grown over the course of the work week.
01:16First, moisturize your hair with every curly girl's favorite product, water.
01:20It makes my hair more manageable and preps it for styling.
01:23Next, divide your hair into sections and apply the Design Essentials Coconut & Minoy
01:27Deep Moisture Milk Souffle to each damp section.
01:31This super thick consistency will provide added moisture and softness to my two-strand twist.
01:37It doesn't have extreme hold, which is perfect because I want to rock a cute hairstyle for the last
01:42few days in the week.
01:42I two-strand twist my hair into eight medium twists and bantu knot at the ends to ensure the ends are curled.
01:50Then I seal the moisture into my hair with the Design Essentials Coconut & Minoy
01:54Deep Moisture Oil Treatment.
01:56A little goes a long way and the result is smooth and shiny hair.
02:00We both set our hair overnight.
02:05I used the Design Essentials Coconut & Minoy Intense Shine Oil Mist to take down my twists.
02:11It helped me prevent frizz and is an added boost of shine.
02:15After gently separating my twists, I grabbed my pick and used it to create more volume and hide any parts
02:22that I made when I twisted my hair.
02:25After some zhuzhing, I'm done.
02:30I did the same thing as Evelyn.
02:32I gently unraveled each of my twists and used the Design Essentials Coconut Minoy Intense Shine Oil Mist
02:40for added shine.
02:41Then I fluffed it out and used my wide-tooth comb at my roots to give my look a little added volume.
02:49After I fluffed it out, then I'm all done.
02:54The Coconut & Minoy line helped our hair go from old, dry, and dull to shiny, defined, and moisturized.
