00:12for you the Netflix series 13 reasons why settle in because I'm about to tell you the story of my
00:18life more specifically why my life ended and if you're listening to this tape you're one of the

00:44and then for styling it's gonna be pretty simple today I'm gonna detangle my hair with the Wadad

00:56using the Carol's Daughter Prakashy Nectar wash and go leave-in I saw lipstick and curls on the
01:02internet do this and I was like okay I'm gonna do it too okay so I'm gonna go shampoo and condition
01:07and I'll be back I hope I'm not taking this too lightly but to me it just seemed like pretty
01:14little liars but like a tad bit darker it gets darker as the episodes go on it is sort of like
01:20getting a lot of buzz now because Selena Gomez is really popular and I guess she's like she produced
01:25it so Hannah has these 13 tapes that she makes before she does the deed and she has this friend
01:31that she gives into and the friend distributes the tapes to the people who are on the tapes and the
01:35main character aside from Hannah is this guy who's her friend also kind of her crush and he likes her
01:42but you know teenagers don't be expressing themselves they don't really know how to communicate their
01:47feelings he gets the tapes and he's listening to the tapes and he's like finding it hard to get
01:51through them because he liked her so much and he doesn't understand he feels abandoned the other
01:54kids who are on the tapes are kind of like threatening him or like don't say anything
01:59about the tapes leave it alone she's dead let it go and he's like no y'all ain't gonna get off like
02:04that you gotta take some responsibility there are also problematic adults here the adults don't seem
02:08to really know anything that goes on in the teen world yeah Hannah on all 13 tapes talks to
02:13different students and tells them what they did some of them are like okay Hannah girl look now I know
02:19she's a little confusing to me because she expects certain things from people that she kind of
02:24doesn't really give herself I think for the most part she was justified like in being upset I don't
02:32know for me it was really boring the episodes were really really long they're an hour long and they
02:37felt you felt every minute of that episode let me not hate on all the teenagers out there in the
02:42world it's hard being a teenager in America you know it it's hard no one wants to be a teenager
02:47especially now there's social media in the beginning episode you're like she's just being a little
02:51bit she's taking all this stuff a little bit too hard later in the episodes things get a little
02:56crazier for Hannah there are some very unfortunate things that happened to her with her parents with
03:03a guy at school and so then you try to say okay well this is traumatizing this is a lot this is a
03:08reason for you to like want to seek help and want to seek out someone to talk to whether it's a friend or a
03:13counselor or your parents this is where you're like okay I get Hannah I get why she felt compelled
03:18to do what she did I get it especially if you know the person you came to seek help from the
03:24counselor just sort of victim blames you but she she got raped and that's traumatizing and she tried
03:32to go talk to the counselor and tell him hey you know I got raped I don't want to tell you about who
03:37but I just don't want to be victimized by this guy anymore can you do anything about it
03:40and the counselor basically blamed her for everything the counselor is Derek Luke
03:45you may know him from uh what has Derek Luke been in what's that movie with Denzel Washington
03:51ah yes after she left that encounter with him she goes on to do the deed if this was sort of like a
04:00PSA to do your best so someone won't commit suicide in high school I think it failed because I just
04:05don't think any one person in any of those tapes could have prevented her from committing suicide
04:10every single parent is clueless I think every single parent has no idea what's going on in
04:15their kids life they always ask how are you doing which is kind of pointless the kids are obviously
04:21going to say in response to that yeah I'm fine everything's good I don't know I'm not a parent
04:27I can't help you just in case you're wondering I did pin some bangs up when I diffuse I push it up
04:33so that it looks like bangs I don't actually have bangs that's a trick I was thinking oh it's like
04:38a teen drama it's going to be a little you know they're not going to really show certain things
04:45they showed the rape scene twice and they showed the suicide scene so if you're not ready for that
04:53kind of graphic violence and sexual assault then you probably shouldn't watch it I did not expect to
04:59see the suicide scene in total they show the entire thing there's no metaphor for suicide
05:05there's no relief from it you're actually seeing her do this and I wanted to make this watch and go
05:10very fun and lighthearted for you guys but it's a heavy series it's a heavy um it's a heavy subject
05:17a heavy topic all the prakashi nectar is in my hair and now I'm going to diffuse hopefully this thing
05:24works out as far as bangs and I'll be back
05:31overall out of five stars three stars um maybe three and a half I'll give it three and a half stars
05:39I feel like this is good I feel like I've reached poodle status wham bam all right that's my watch and go
