00:00Beth Link, who is the executive director of an organization called When We All Vote.
00:06You may have heard of it.
00:07Michelle Obama's voting engagement organization, When We All Vote.
00:11Beth Link is the head of that organization.
00:14And she is going to join us just for a few minutes to talk about for folks who may need
00:20help getting to the polling station, there is help on the way.
00:23Beth?
00:24Absolutely.
00:24Well, thank you so much for allowing me to join at the very tail end.
00:28And I will say, Linnae and JJ really inspired me in that last session.
00:34And so, and this entire town hall has been amazing.
00:38So I'm really here to help with resources to get to the poll and to ensure that you can
00:44make your voice heard.
00:45So thank you, Alfonso.
00:47Thank you, Ebony.
00:48So first and foremost, When We All Vote is really proud to be partnering with Lyft and
00:53Lime to ensure that if you need a ride to the polls, you can get one at a free or discounted
00:58rate.
00:59So in all 50 states, you can use the code VOTE24, that is VOTE24 in your Lyft app, to
01:08get a discounted ride to your polling location.
01:11So don't let having a ride to the polls be a barrier to voting.
01:15Make sure that you are able to get to your polling location and to vote.
01:20So that code is VOTE24.
01:22In locations where Lyme bikes and scooters are available, you can also use the Lyme code
01:32to get free and discounted rides to the polls as well.
01:36And we encourage you to do that.
01:38The last thing I will just say is I just want to remind you of your rights.
01:42So if you are voting on Election Day, know that you have a right to stay in line if you
01:49are in line before the polls close.
01:51You have a right to ask for a paper ballot if you prefer to vote on paper or if a computer
01:57isn't working for you or isn't working.
02:00If you're getting questioned about your citizenship status, your criminal record, or other
02:04qualifications, you have a right to ask for help.
02:06And 1-866-OUR-VOTE is available with volunteers on standby to help you make sure that you can
02:13make your voice heard tomorrow.
02:15Just like Alfonso said, we have resources available at whenweallvote.org if you need a
02:22plan to vote or need help finding your polling location.
02:25Happy voting tomorrow.
02:27And make sure to check on your friends, your family, your voting squad to make sure that
02:31all of them have a plan to vote tomorrow as well.
02:33Thank you so much, Alfonso.
02:34Thank you, Ebony.
02:35No, no, no.
02:36Thank you so much, Beth, for joining us.
02:38And just for folks, this is real, because in certain parts of the country, polling stations
02:42in Black communities closed.
02:46So in the last election, if you went to a certain polling station, that polling station
02:51may be closed.
02:53And you may realize that there's a challenge now in getting to the new polling station and
02:57it's further from your house.
02:59So if that's the case, we want to make sure that you have the ability to get to that polling
03:03station, which is why the partnership with Lyft and When We All Vote is so important.
03:08Beth, can you once again remind folks what the code is if they want a Lyft to the polls?
03:15Thank you so much.
03:16And I actually encourage everyone to share this with your friends and family as well so that
03:21they don't miss out on the savings and this discount code.
03:25It is VOTE24.
03:27So VOTE24, the numbers two and four.
03:32So put that in your Lyft app and make sure that you're getting that free and reduced
03:36ride to the polls.
03:38Thank you, Beth.
03:39Thank you so much for joining us.
03:41We really appreciate all of your help and support.
