00:05Angela Lam, esteemed dermatologist and an expert on all things skincare. In
00:10partnership with Juergens, we are going to explore all of the beautiful benefits
00:14of the Juergens Melanin Glow Illuminating Moisturizer. Dr. Lam, I am so excited to
00:21be here with you. It's definitely to me that intersection of culture that I love,
00:25taking our backgrounds and who we are and what we've struggled with, being a
00:29black dermatologist, I just think that there is such an experience, right? Let's
00:35dive into these two skews that we have right here. The Juergens Melanin Glow
00:40comes in both gold and also in bronze. Let's start to apply some of these
00:46products. First of all, smells amazing, right? And it's just a very subtle scent,
00:53enough to kind of like turn a shoulder but not overpowering. One of my first
00:57reactions was first, you know, how it smells. So it's light, it's something that
01:02you could use year-round. Also, I think you mentioned this, it gives you the glow
01:07without covering your skin. I don't like sticky moisturizers at all and I think
01:12that when you are normally working with ingredients that are around shea butter
01:16or cocoa butter, they can sometimes have that tendency. Too heavy. Yeah, and that
01:20doesn't give me that. My patients ask me all the time, they want a moisturizer that
01:25they can use after the bath or shower. What's wonderful about this one is you
01:29can use it any time of year. It gives you that light moisture but also enough
01:33hydration that you would feel like if your skin's a little on the drier side that
01:36you would want to reach for it. Yes, and then we also have this bronze as well.
01:40What I instantly notice about bronze because I really do believe that bronze
01:44can mean such a variety of things, especially for melanated skin, is that it has a
01:48little bit of a reddish undertone that I really think is beneficial to
01:53melanated skin. It absorbs very quickly, it's sheer, and I think it also just helps
01:58to amplify this bronze that I've already got going on in my skin. I think that's
02:03really wonderful too and shows the research that went in to really creating
02:07some tones that were going to accent our skin and complement it without making it
02:11look distorted. And so you might actually have both of these products on your
02:14shelf because it depends on if it's in the summer or the winter, if you just took a
02:18recent vacation. You know, again, people darker skin, it actually can change tones. You know, we can
02:23tan as well. So what's wonderful about these is that they can really bring out the
02:28tones. It really helps to highlight to take it to a next level. What I believe is
02:32this product fills the gap of being something where it definitely still adds
02:38that glow and radiance that I know a lot of melanated folks are looking for.
