00:00Given this increase in unprecedented collaboration, and as a result of the need for less law enforcement
00:17officers to do this work in a safer environment, I have announced effective immediately we
00:24will draw down 700 people effective today, 700 law enforcement personnel.
00:35We have also fully integrated CBP personnel into the ICRO team structure under one unified
00:41chain of command, not two chains of command, there'd be one chain of command here.
00:47Any large enforcement operation I've ever been involved with, there's one chain of command
00:52and that's where we're moving forward.
00:55During my press conference last week, I announced that moving forward, ICE will be conducting
00:59targeted immigration enforcement operations, like ICE has traditionally done for decades,
01:06based on reasonable suspicion to question and detain.
01:11ICE will conduct these operations and transnational criminal organization investigations with
01:15a focus on national security and public safety.
01:18I want to be clear, just because you prioritize public safety threats don't mean we forget
01:24about everybody else.
01:25We will continue to enforce the immigration laws in this country.
