00:00A Minnesota federal judge declines to order a halt to President Donald Trump's immigration
00:05enforcement crackdown in Minneapolis. This in a lawsuit by state officials accusing federal
00:10agents of widespread civil rights abuses. U.S. District Judge Kate Menendez issued a ruling
00:15in the lawsuit filed by the Minnesota Attorney General's Office which sought to block or limit
00:19a U.S. Department of Homeland Security operation. The lawsuit also accuses federal agents of
00:25racially profiling people, illegally detaining lawful residents for hours, and spreading fear
00:29through aggressive enforcement tactics. Tensions in Minneapolis ramped up after ICE agents
00:34killed Rene Good on January 7 and fatally shot Alex Preti on January 24. But comments by
00:40Trump suggest federal law enforcement deployments will only happen in the future if cities request
00:45it.
