00:00What influence from your own life do you feel like you've brought to that to really embody what Jill is going through?
00:06Yes. A lot of influence, actually, because I've been in situations where, you know, being in a girl group in the 90s, early 2000s,
00:17I have been told how to dress, how to talk, how to act. And it didn't really ring true to me.
00:23And a lot of times that feels like you're just being conditioned to represent what other people say you are.
00:29But you're not really discovering who you really are. And that process is sometimes debilitating in finding yourself.
00:38So I definitely connected to that. I also think, you know, obviously, I grew up in the church.
00:44Jill is a devout Catholic. I grew up singing in my Baptist church, New Hope Baptist Church in East Orange.
00:51So I connect to how faithful and faith based she is, which I respect and I honor.
00:56So I wanted to make sure that it didn't compromise her faith just because, you know, she's going through her struggle with her sexuality.
01:04She's married to a man, but in love with a woman.
01:08She has a lot.
01:08Boom, boom, 90, 90. God bless your soul.
01:11Chill, the thrill. You can chill. Watch me take...
