00:00first and foremost you are returning to star on the zoo series baddies atl which you are also
00:05executive producer of and i know it's a reunion of sorts of former bad girls um yes no bad girl
00:12favorites bad girls club favorites and i read there will be some fireworks which you know it
00:17can i'm sure it can be a lot you've been both uh you know a participant on uh bad girls club you've
00:22also been like a host and i know this is con you know completely different but at the same time i'm
00:27sure it'll be a little stressful so how is it for you to kind of re-enter into that you know dealing
00:32with these ladies and but doing so also as a producer creating oh it was crazy i had no idea
00:39what i was walking into i mean obviously i started off this franchise over a decade ago and um it
00:46catapulted into like this mega um you know mega opportunities for me and stardom for me and fame
00:53and success um i've got asked to join them before when they um reconvened and i declined because i
01:02just didn't want to be there with them like that so i was right is keep the peace as as the mediator and
01:09be the big sister from afar but this was the first time that i actually decided to do a collective
01:16project with my sisters and i had no idea what i was in for um i had one goal you know obviously to
01:26see if we could come together to get to the to make the money to make the to pay these bills and to you
01:31know start a business and you'll have to tune in to see if we get there and it's it's a it's a pretty
01:37rocky ride to get there so you'll have to tune in to see okay nice i'm excited yeah and as you
01:47mentioned you know you helped to start the whole bad girls club when we first met you in 20 2008
01:52yes you know a lot has changed since then you know you've become a mother so i did want to ask
01:58you how has motherhood kind of changed you including in the way that you hustle and also in
02:03just the way that you deal with shenanigans you know i mean especially as someone returning you
02:07know to tv and to an environment with ladies that can be a little bit uh rocky but i know you said
02:13you want to keep the peace so how is motherhood kind of best keep the peace my son it has been my
02:18saving grace he's everything to me um you know i am the proud mom of a beautiful uh three-year-old
02:25prince he's my prince and i love him very much and i personally feel like i have struggled
02:31with motherhood i was in denial for a very long time about my postpartum after having him and you
02:39know i suffered through that in silence for a while until i came to grips with it and really decided to
02:45take it head on and really proud of my progress you know it's not something you know we as women
02:51are forthcoming with especially women of color i noticed yeah we kind of you know sweep it under the
02:57rug and i don't know why like it's okay i realized now to say i'm not feeling okay i had all these
03:03feelings of anxiety um constantly feeling i became super over overprotective to the point where i became
03:09paranoid no one watches my son i watch my son or his dad or the grandparents i've turned down jobs
03:17i've turned down offers i yes i even though when i needed to take those jobs and offers uh for the
03:25simple fact that you know my son was young enough he wasn't speaking couldn't tell mama what's going
03:29on and you know when you come from a um uh a somewhat traumatic childhood or certain events that
03:37happen you when you become a mom it's like there you want to make sure that you do everything in
03:43your power to make sure you protect your son so i i am very mindful about a lot of things and i think
03:50i've become softer you'll see that um hopefully as much as i uh as much as i they take me there at
03:58times you will hopefully see that softer motherly nurturing caring i mean i've always been caring i
04:05think but you really get to see it this time and i think it's a beautiful thing i think you know as
04:10much as i'm still uh outspoken and the the baddie the ultimate baddie um you know i i care for the
04:18girls and um you know it's you see that i think they feel that i think they really do also something
04:24that something else that occurred in the years since we met you i'm just gonna keep doing this
04:28something else that occurred um was that you uh you shed some weight when we first met you you were a
04:34much different size and you look amazing you looked amazing then you were never not a beautiful woman
04:39um but i think people when they see you it's been years and you still are a great size and i think
04:46people always want to know like well how do you maintain like there's it's hard for me i'm
04:51juggling i'm struggling um to be honest um i when i first i remember at my heaviest i um i was almost
05:00300 pounds um you know i made the decision to get healthier after a very toxic relationship that i was
05:08involved in um that had ended and i decided that it was time to get myself and my life in order
05:16and um it was a long journey it took like a long time over a year to finally use all the weight and
05:22i did and then i was struggling obviously with now i have skin you know um especially after the baby i
05:30got pregnant you know i was beautiful all through my pregnancy because i had got down to my ideal weight
05:35my goal weight which was a size 12 you know at my lowest i was like 168 wow yeah yeah yeah yeah i know
05:45like i became a different person but then i had the baby then kind of went up again i don't know where
05:50i'm at now i think i'm somewhere i'm somewhere up there but i to this day now i'm very very self-aware
05:56what's going in my mouth what am i eating how late am i eating it's a conscious effort it's a lifestyle
06:02change um i just kind of made up my mind that i just want to i i know i'm gonna probably go back
06:09and forth like a yo-yo and that's okay because i'm human but i just don't want to end up where i
06:14started and i something else that did happen in this time since we've gotten to know you you did get
06:20engaged and i know that recently i think it was last year you may have said that you guys are going
06:26your separate ways but i did hear you mention him again recently in our conversation as your fiance
06:31yes oh where are we how are things well today we still forget no no i you know i oh i'm a virgo
06:42so we're a little crazy especially in the love department and that's always been my thing you
06:48know i'm just i'm just gonna be honest because i've like ran from this for the longest i've been
06:53super traumatized by my past relationships and that's just the the truth so it's made it very
06:58difficult for anyone that's come into my life you know genuinely they're after um but i was blessed
07:06to meet this amazing guy um you know he's not famous or anything like that but he served an active
07:13duty in the navy for over 15 years and i'm very proud of him he's super amazing he has a really good
07:20um career and you know he loves me um for free he loves me on my best days he loves me on my worst days
07:30um like he gets me and we have our spats it'll be like that when you with a hothead like me you know
07:37i have caribbean blood in me so it get a little spicy sometimes but it's all love it's all love that's
07:42what he says you know that's what he says like i i can't repay you for the lectures for the the
07:47motivation for the food for your tears and he's just he celebrates me and it just feels good to
07:53finally receive love without having to like beg for it or like tell someone how to love you like
08:00it just feels great like i feel like i found the perfect perfect partner to procreate with
08:06and when we get along it's amazing and when we don't get along it's not we have our good days
08:11we have our bad days but i think that's every relationship but i i think for for the most for
08:16the most part he's here to stay i did want to ask you you have the show you have bad easy tl coming
08:21what else is coming for you what's next well um i hope to continue to executive produce a lot more
08:28projects projects there's a lot of content that um you know i would love to put out as a black woman
08:33in this business and as someone with my platform like i understand the uh you know the the
08:39responsibility i have um of you know really showing our um my brothers and my sisters in a different
08:46light and if you follow me online you'll see that i'm all about positivity and uplifting and and really
08:52like coming together the sisterhood the brotherhood and you would unify us because you know together we
08:58stand united you know divided we fall and i i look forward to hopefully hosting some more stuff for
09:05you guys maybe there's a cookbook i don't know we'll have to see uh you know hopefully you know
09:11we'll see if i get into some talk stuff but i love executive producing it was my first time doing it i had
09:17no idea i would actually be good at it and i actually love it so i look forward to providing more content
09:23hopefully a season two more content that you guys can love and engage and be proud of and i think it's
