00:00So thank you Lisa so much for breaking down how we can have abundance in our relationships.
00:12Next up we'd love for you to talk a little bit about how we can have abundance financially.
00:16I would love that.
00:18So finance is, it has an interesting energy.
00:23Finance has an energy that's generational.
00:29Finance has an energy that's cultural.
00:32Money is a masculine energy so we have to recognize that, that money has a masculine energy that
00:36comes with it.
00:37You go into this different place when you talk money or we don't want to talk money or we
00:41want to avoid money or we were driven by money or it just has a, it just has this thing.
00:49There's a strong energy attached to money.
00:51So a lot of times we have to heal our relationship with money.
00:54Not everyone, but a lot of us.
00:56And as African American women, our relationship to money has been given to us generationally.
01:02We've done so much without money.
01:06So much because we're such a rich culture spiritually and relationship wise.
01:11We're so rich that money has been this 45 degree angle that we just use when we need them.
01:16We discard it.
01:17So our relationship to money needs to heal.
01:21We need to revamp it.
01:22We need to allow it to have its place at the table and not diminish who we are spiritually
01:27or who we are as a, as a person or as a being, our relationships.
01:32I struggled with this.
01:34I'm only speaking to the journey that I so had to take, you know, so I want to two things.
01:39One, I want to tell the story of when I, and I shared this at the book signing, when
01:43my company had gotten to about $975,000, it was in October.
01:49This was years ago.
01:50And I slowed down.
01:52I slowed down my pace.
01:53You know, it was October.
01:54I said, I'm ready to stop for the year.
01:56I worked all year and I could say that cause I was, I made $975,000.
02:00I can stop.
02:01But the next year when my company got to $985,000, $86,000 by August, I still wanted to stop.
02:09And I thought, why is it that I want to stop?
02:12Cause I know I don't want to stop for six months.
02:14I love what I'm doing.
02:15And what it was, was I wasn't comfortable making a million dollars.
02:20Then I had to start looking at all my relationship to money and all of the stories I had.
02:25We have stories about people who have wealth, they're stingy, they're selfish.
02:30They have no spiritual origin.
02:31They're all about, we have all these unconscious stories.
02:34So in the book, I work to bring from your unconscious to your conscious, your relationship
02:39to money.
02:39And when I did that for myself, I realized that I believe that if I was spiritual, really
02:45spiritual, then I should be able to do a lot of something with no money.
02:48Cause sister Brown, who I talk about in my book, sister Brown was amazing.
02:51She was spiritual, but we always had to do a chicken dinner or a fish fry to help her.
02:57And we'd have to do that when she passed away, but I want it to be like her spiritually.
03:01Hmm.
03:02So there's several blueprints you have, and these blueprints are driving your relationship
03:06to money unconsciously.
03:08And when you look at the blueprint and I show you how to unpack the blueprint in the book,
03:13I won't go through all that now, get the book.
03:14You'll be able to do it then.
03:15Right.
03:16And, and, and let me just tell you the blueprints.
03:17We have a cultural blueprint.
03:19So the way we culturally manage money, my grandmother would say, I can make a dime go
03:25in 20 different directions.
03:26So we pride ourselves and making a pot of beans go in 20 different directions, right?
03:31Making a dime go in 20 different directions.
03:33Well, what happens when you have 21 dimes and they only have to go in 20 different directions?
03:40You actually can feel uncomfortable.
03:42That was me stopping in October, then stopping in August because I'm no longer in that same
03:48kind of hustle that I grew up in.
03:50And more than wealthy, you want to belong more than wealthy.
03:55You want to belong to your community, to your tribe, to your culture, to your family.
04:01So when I became too different, too much, the unicorn, too much, the unicorn, I don't want
04:07to stand out that much.
04:08I want to, so I slowed down.
04:11In what ways are you slowing yourself down?
04:13Because you want to make sure you still fit in unconsciously.
04:16We're not doing any of this consciously.
04:18So that's culturally.
04:19The second way is gender, that you have a gender blueprint to money.
04:23Men, how much you make has everything to do with how masculine, how much of a man you are.
04:28Your ability to provide has everything to do.
04:31I was just on the Steve Harvey show recently.
04:34And I said that to the gentleman who had lost his job.
04:37And Steve said it.
04:38It has everything to do, providing has everything to do with your masculinity.
04:42Well, as a woman, we're raised, get a great job or get a man.
04:48Mm-hmm.
04:49Get a great man.
04:50Get a great man with a great job.
04:52And so we still are fighting to make the same amount as a man in our workforce.
04:56We can do the same job, equal or better in some cases.
05:00And we still are making less than men.
05:03Because society has a relationship to how much a woman should make.
05:08And we take that on as well.
05:10The third blueprint, money blueprint that you should look at, is your spiritual blueprint.
05:16That spiritually we're taught in the Bible that we do a lot with less, give, only have
05:23what you need.
05:24And then inside religion, there's the conversation around it based on your particular religion,
05:29whether you're Muslim, whether you're Baptist, whether you're Protestant, whether you're Catholic.
05:33Those all come with a set of relationship to money as well.
05:37Some religions say money and financial prosperity is the evidence of God in your life.
05:42And others say only use, only have what you need and give the rest away, right?
05:48Based on where you are, that's literally unconsciously driving your relationship to money.
05:54And then there's the economic blueprint.
05:57How was money in your house when you were a child?
06:01Did they fight over it?
06:02Did it give you access to a beautiful life of travel and prosperity?
06:07Did it keep your parents away because they were steady trying to make it to take care
06:11of you?
06:12Was it divisive?
06:14Whatever that was in your lifestyle, it still have an unconscious driving factor for you
06:19until you look at it and go, okay, hold on.
06:21Let me dismantle you and write a new blueprint.
06:24And then the last is geographical.
06:26How money was looked at in your community?
06:29Was it a hustle?
06:30Was it get or get got?
06:32Was it keep up with the Joneses?
06:35Was it put a prosperity face up even though we're struggling in the background?
06:39Was it we're all good and money is wonderful and it moves fluid through our fingers.
06:44Whatever way your community related to money is the way you're unconsciously driven by your
06:49relationship to money.
06:50So when you expose and bring from the unconscious to the conscious, the blueprint that's driving
06:55you, then you get to consciously and there's no make wrong.
06:59I got to tell you, when people start doing that, they get all, oh God, it's okay.
07:03The truth is sexy.
07:05And to expose the truth, whether it's good, bad, right, wrong, happy or sad, it's a beautiful
07:10thing because now I'm allowing myself to drive the direction of my life versus a bunch of
07:16unconscious conversations driving me about relationship, about money.
07:22And so money is a, it's a necessary conversation.
07:25It's a dignified conversation that we should be willing to have because when good people
07:29do well, good people simply do more good things.
07:33When good people do well, they get to do more good.
07:36And so making a lot of money, if that's what's valuable to you, is as important as making love,
07:43is as important as serving God, is as important as having great health, it's all together.
07:49It's all together.
07:50It's called abundance, 360 abundance.
07:53And that's our birthright.
07:55No matter where you were born, what you were born in, abundance is your birthright.
07:59And the sobering news is what you choose is what you choose.
08:04But abundance is your birthright.
08:06That's the truth.
08:07It is the truth and we're so excited for you to introduce us to our birthright of abundance
08:12with abundance now.
