00:08Because the latest episode of Real Housewives was messy.
00:12And it was so good, though.

00:16So it was a bunch of black women, and people are like,
00:19well, why do we all have to see black women fighting?
00:23So how do you feel?
00:24So I get it, right?
00:26I mean, we just said it ourselves.
00:28We love drama, you know?
00:30But there's something about just,
00:32whatever happened to just being a lady?
00:34You know, like, why can't we just think things and not speak them?
00:38You know, and not act on the way that we want to, you know?
00:43But I don't think it's fair that, like,
00:44we say that about black reality shows.
00:47Like, black women have to, you know,
00:48we have to uphold the whole race.
00:51You know what I mean?
00:51It's just like, if you're messy, you're messy.
00:53You're messy, you know?
00:55Mess doesn't messiness at all.
00:55Mess has no race.

01:01really make sure that everyone, especially our daughters,

01:08Like I said, it's just an entertainment thing,
01:10like, when you watch, like, a weird movie or a bad movie.
01:12And that's the thing, they don't know the difference.
01:13The younger generation, they don't know that this is,
01:16hey, I'm putting on an act because I'm on TV.
01:18They don't know.
01:19Yeah. You know what?
01:20I think they do.
01:21I think the kids today, I think we don't give them enough credit.
01:24I think they know that, okay, that's some fake, you know,
01:28every generation has the ratchet and the more sophisticated, right?
01:32So the next generation, they're not any different from what we were.
01:35Okay. And amongst us, there's a lot of ratch, you know.
01:38I consider myself, you know, half ratch.
01:41Okay. So I'm mixed, you know.
01:43But I think the next generation, they know how to pick.
01:46They're very, very smart.
01:47They grew up with way more television than us.
01:49They know what's real and they know what isn't.
01:51And I think we need to give them a little credit.
01:53What about the relationships, though?

01:55Because that's the thing that I'm like, because I feel you.

01:58But I'm like, do they know?

02:04Like, do they know that, like, having, living in the same building
02:08with your guy and his other girlfriend or wife is not normal?

02:15Do they know having, like, 12 kids with someone is not normal?
02:17I think they want to emulate that.
02:19That's what I'm afraid of.
02:20And they're like, I want to be just like her.
02:22Because she has all these Instagram followers.
02:23She's popular.
02:24I want to be like her.
02:26It should be 25 and older.

02:30That's a little bit high, but maybe, like, 21 and older.
02:32Because that way you can kind of, your brain is more developed.

02:36But I think, like, you know, I don't know if the Italian
02:38community is like, oh, my God, Married to the Mob.

02:42It's on VH1.
02:43It's a reality show.
02:44It's pretty ratchet.

02:46But it's like women from Staten Island.
02:48And I'm like, I wonder if the, you know, the Italian
02:52community is like, oh, my God, you're making this look bad.
02:54But why do we have the standard where black women always have
02:57to, like, you know, be upright citizens when some of us aren't?
03:01I am enjoying, like, some of the, I mean, going back to what
03:03you were saying, it's not a black thing.
03:05Like, I just, I enjoy watching, like, Catfish and all these
03:07other shows.
03:08There's a lot of reality.
03:09And HGTV, I'm not sure what I think, but love it or listen.
03:14Like, there's all this type of positive or less negative
03:18reality TV out there.
03:19So I'm leaning more in, like, you're right.
03:20I love Catfish.
03:21Yeah.
