00:00I think in the beginning it was just like you know a kid you know just wanting to work doing
00:14something different and then from small success to small success it started to
00:18gain momentum and you know being around different mentors and older actors that
00:22you know said if you know you keep this up you might be able to you know build a
00:24career for yourself and and then once you started to I don't know start to see
00:28the pieces and saw how you know production companies were ran or how
00:31movies got made how television shows got made from the inside out it was like you
00:35know I think I want to do that you know let me let me see if I if I can you know
00:38if I can do it myself and you know just trying to stay out my own way obsessed
00:44with the work and continue to try to you know build something that's gonna last
00:47forever I mean for me my summer is a I'm working to the middle of it you know I'm
00:55shooting Creed II here in Philly and that's kind of like my main focus and
01:00then I have like maybe three or four weeks off and then I started prep for
01:04Just Mercy a story about Brian Stevenson it's kind of like his biopic it's the
01:10first time in my life where it's been consistently working like one after
01:13another I usually do a project you know wait around a year you know and then do
01:16another project wait around a year so this is like the first time you know my
01:20career where it's like you know one after another constantly working and I'm just I'm just
01:24riding that wave so the summer is gonna be pretty busy for me also as far as
01:31executive producing it's it's all the things that you never really had to
01:36worry about before now it's like kind of your responsibility anyway or you pay
01:40attention you're paying attention to the little things now notes and you know set
01:46design certain things character flow character arcs you know you're just you're
01:49paying attention to a lot more things then you normally would you want to
01:52contribute to the team a little bit more where you feel more of a
01:56responsibility to and and yeah seeing how it's done on the highest level you know
02:01going from like me on being casted on a an HBO show the wire to you know co-producing
02:06you know I'm saying alongside him I think you know for me that was that was a big
02:10milestone for me Angela snitched on me yeah that was an ad-lib that was an ad-lib um it was just
02:19something in the moment where uh that was actually my first day on set that was my that
02:25was the first scene that I shot and I was really excited about working with Chadwick you know
02:30honestly we finally get a chance to you know kind of go toe-to-toe and you know you know have a dope scene
02:35partner and uh yeah it just happened you know I'm saying like yeah I can't really call it it was
02:41just in the moment and hey auntie came out I didn't I never knew it was going to be such a thing I
02:47didn't think it was going to play as well as it did um you know in the movie so I'm I'm excited that
02:52people are really you know digging it that's interesting it makes me smile every time you know
02:59I mean honestly this whole like bay thing is just kind of came out of nowhere so I mean but it's
03:05fun it makes me smile every time every time I read it or see it in a tweet or somebody comments it
03:10it's uh it makes me smile it's funny yeah I appreciate the love
