Hillary Clinton made statement, that she is ready to come out of the woods. But is a NYC mayoral run a downgrade for her?
Transcript
00:00Just months after a crushing defeat in the presidential election, Hillary Clinton is
00:07reportedly considering a run, wait for it, for mayor of New York City.
00:13Reports, yes, reports say her team is currently gauging interest in a Clinton comeback, and
00:17Clinton herself recently hinted at the same event, saying, quote, I'm ready to come out
00:23of the woods and shine a light on what's already happening around kitchen tables at
00:27dinner like this, to really help draw strength, to enable everyone to keep going.
00:32Panelists, I got to get your thought on this.
00:34Is this a good move for Hillary to run for a mayor of New York City, or should she just
00:38go back in the woods and stay there?
00:41Let's see if you're slaying or shading it.
00:43Can we lift up your cards?
00:44Let's see.
00:45Slade, Slade, Slade, shade.
00:46You always got to be the bad guy.
00:48Why?
00:49I think you're doing that.
00:50Why can't you be the bad guy?
00:51We're going to start with you, because you're clearly, yes.
00:54No, listen, I'm all for the woman empowerment and everything else like that.
00:56I feel bad that she didn't win the election.
00:58But if you go up and lose this mayor...
01:01But do you think she'll really lose the mayor?
01:03People in New York like her.
01:04We didn't think she was going to lose the presidential one either.
01:06That's true.
01:06Sharon?
01:07Here's the thing.
01:08By the way, I love Hillary's whole new swag that she has the new hairstyle.
01:13She seems to be re-energized.
01:15I think she would win if she made a bid for mayor.
01:18She would win.
01:19At the end of the day, I think New York would love that.
01:21I don't think she's going to do it, though.
01:23At the end of the day, she is used to running national politics, international, secretary of state.
01:29A run for the White House is very different to a run for Gracie Manchin.
01:34Very, very different.
01:36That's valid.
01:37Yeah.
01:37At the end of the day, I don't think she's going to want to run for you.
01:40She was a senator for a while, right?
01:41She was a senator.
01:42Exactly.
01:42So it might be a step back.
01:43So maybe the state level, but not the local level.
01:45Not the local level.
01:46I don't see it.
01:46I don't know.
01:47Hillary likes to be empowered.
01:49And at this point, I think that being the mayor of New York is a big thing.
01:55And I think that she would just really be excited to have a position.
01:59I would be excited to have her as a mayor because we probably gained some of our city back.
02:04New York has gotten lost in its way through our past two mayors, present one included.
02:11And I don't know.
02:12She might be able to help us get what we need back.
02:15Some of our swag back.
02:16I agree.
02:17Either way, we'll be watching.
02:18It sounds like we're all excited.
02:19Kayla, what are the folks on Facebook saying?
02:22Well, people are showing her love.
02:23So people are ready for whatever she has in the works.
02:26Gloria Sykes says, go Hillary.
02:27Keep hope alive.
02:29Vanessa Wright says, go Hillary.
02:30Believe in you.
02:31Karma Chani says, essa's live.
02:34No one cares about Hillary.
02:35So where's Bernie?
02:36So not everyone's showing her love.
02:38But wait a minute.
02:39We love Hillary.
02:39We can love Bernie too, right?
02:41We love Hillary.
02:41We can talk and treat them at the same time.
02:43We love you, Hillary.
02:48We love you.
02:49We love you.
02:50We love you.
02:50We love you.
