00:00Welcome to Essence Live! I'm your host, Dana Blair, and these are the biggest stories you're buzzing about today.
00:07A fourth man has been arrested in connection with the murder of the daughter of Olympic sprinter Tyson Gay.
00:14Trinity Gay, who was a rising track star herself, was hit by a stray bullet earlier this week while in a restaurant parking lot in Lexington, Kentucky.
00:21She was just 15 years old. At a vigil for his daughter held on Monday, Tyson Gay told the thousands of people gathered,
00:27I don't want to read in the paper next week about another senseless killing. It has to stop.
00:34Does Mary J. Blige owe her soon-to-be ex-husband spousal support? And if so, how much?
00:41That's what folks are asking as news surfaces that Mary's estranged husband can do is asking for $130,000 a month to cover expenses.
00:50Yes, I said that. Like $1,000 for new clothes, $3,200 for a personal trainer, and $5,000 for his child support, plus $8,000 for a private chef.
01:01Really? Now, to be fair, Kendu was also her manager, so he could argue that he's somewhat responsible for her success.
01:08Weigh in, Essence Live fam. Is there a double standard when a man asks his woman to support him, or should Mary just cut her losses and pay up?
01:15The third and final presidential debate was actually about the issues. The candidates cover the Supreme Court, abortion and immigration, and it seems Chris Wallace drew mostly positive reviews as the moderator.
01:29But there were definitely still a few WTF moments like whether Trump is saying bigly, which isn't a word, or big league, which I'm sure, I don't even know if that makes sense.
01:40But here's what you thought. At The Real T. Marie tweeted,
01:43My first name ain't baby. It's Hillary. Miss Clinton if you're nasty. Ow.
01:48Hashtag about last night. Hashtag debate night. And even celebrities couldn't resist a little fact-checking.
01:54Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus tweeted,
01:56The Emmys are not rigged. At Veep HBO. At Hillary Clinton. At Real Donald Trump. Hashtag debate night.
02:02And one more from at Yvette 23. Nunez, can we please find some new runners for president? Is that too hard to ask?
02:08Well, if you're like Yvette and still don't know who you're voting for or whether you're gonna vote at all,
02:13our first guest has some things that may change your mind.
02:16She is a leader in political fundraising and wants black women to get out and vote.
02:20We're talking politics and the debate next. It's Thursday, October 20th, and Essence Live starts now.
02:31Welcome to Essence Live. I'm Dana Blair. Now, I may be the host, but this is your show.
02:35If you ever want to sound off, and I know most of you do, right here with us live, you can via Skype or in studio.
02:42Just email us at EssenceLive at Essence.com for details.
02:45And of course, you don't want to miss today's show. We've got a doozy.
02:48Tamara Mowry-Housley discussing a possible sister-sister reunion and how she is teaching her kids about race.
02:54Plus, cutie Pooch Hall steps into the steam room to dish on his love and relationship style.
02:59And we've got the hottest coats to get you through fall and winter.
03:02But first, who did you think had the best clap back in last night's presidential debate?
03:06Well, let us know in the comments section if you're watching us live on Facebook or use the hashtag Essence Live.
03:12Joining us now via Skype is activist, political strategist, and co-founder of Higher Heights, Glenda Carr.
03:18Hello, Glenda.
03:19Hi, Dana. How are you?
03:21I'm doing great. Thank you so much for joining us here on Essence Live.
03:24Thanks for having me.
03:26No problem. Last night was the final presidential debate. Lots of conversation.
03:31But what did you think was the highlight of last night's debate?
03:35I actually think the highlight of yesterday's debate was the candidates actually spoke about issues.
03:41I know.
03:42You know, I was live tweeting, and I was like, at minute 23, oh, my God, is this actually really going to be a debate?
03:49Right.
03:50So I think, you know, in the last debate, the two candidates finally kind of heard what voters are saying across the country.
03:55You know, this is a serious election, and as a voter, I need to be informed.
04:00And putting aside a very politically toxic, racially divisive political season, you know, voters want to hear what the candidates' stances are on issues,
04:11and then what are they planning on doing if elected to office.
04:14So although there were still some tense moments and some interesting phrasing, you know, the candidates in this last debate did at least spend some time talking about the issues that voters, particularly Black women voters, are concerned with.
04:28And your organization Higher Heights empowers women of color to become more politically active.
04:33Beyond voting, what specifically can Black women do to affect change in our government?
04:37We always talk about that democracy doesn't begin and end on Election Day.
04:41In fact, it actually begins after the election.
04:44We need to hold our elected officials accountable on the very issues that they campaign for.
04:48But also, Black women's voices need to be heard.
04:50So Black women are one of the largest voting blocs.
04:54In fact, we are the building blocks to any winning coalition.
04:57In 2008 and 2012, Dana, you know we showed up and showed out.
05:00We voted at record numbers.
05:02We voted higher than any other racial group or gender group.
05:06If you look at the 2012 election cycle, President Obama won that election with 1.9 million votes.
05:13Black women cast 11.4 million votes.
05:15So we decide elections.
05:17But we also control $565 billion a year.
05:21And as you know, we're one of the largest users of social media, which is a medium that we can really shape the national debate.
05:27So the question becomes why Black women have all of this undertapped economic power, political power, yet still were underserved and underrepresented.
05:35So Higher Heights is doing two things.
05:37One, we have 19 days to show and prove the naysayers wrong that we are not going to vote in record numbers this year.
05:44You may not be excited about the top of the ticket, but there are, you know, down-ballot races that deal with our very everyday issues that we need to vote on.
05:55But also, we need to encourage Black women to step off the sidelines and, in fact, run for office ourselves.
06:00Definitely.
06:01And it's so important to get everyone out there to vote.
06:03Donald Trump has made much ado about possible voter fraud in many major cities, many of which are populated by Black and brown people.
06:11As someone on the front lines, what's your opinion on this? Is voter fraud a real issue?
06:16Well, it's interesting that, you know, you talk about voter fraud, but in fact, over the last, you know, two cycles, our voting rights have been rolled back.
06:27And that was purposeful done by some opposition.
06:30You know, if Black men are voting in record numbers, all of a sudden now there's this, you know, unforeseen voter fraud.
06:36So we now need to tighten up our election system.
06:39And when you tighten up the election system, what happens is you disenfranchise people.
06:43And when you disenfranchise Black voters, you're overwhelmingly disenfranchising Black women.
06:48So we are living in the first election post the rollbacks of the Voting Rights Act.
06:54So, you know, what I say to that is we all need to, if you see something, say something.
06:59Do not leave a poll if someone is turning you away.
07:02But you also need to be informed.
07:03So follow our Black Women Vote campaign.
07:05You can follow us at the hashtag Black Women Vote or you can go online to blackwomenvote.com.
07:10It will give you day-to-day commentary about Black women in this election cycle, but also the things that we need to do to be prepared.
07:20Dana, when you fire up a black woman, she doesn't go to the polls alone.
07:24She brings her house, her block, her church, and her sorority.
07:27And who proves that, for me, every election was my mother until the day she died, called me and my brothers to ensure that we voted in every election cycle.
07:34So we need to do what black women do, is ensure that we are all prepared, that we know what ID we need, where we need to vote, who's on the ballot, who are the candidates that are going to move not only our country forward, but move the African-American community forward.
07:50So we have 19 days to ensure that we're going to be informed voters and prove them wrong and that we're going to show up and show out at this election cycle.
07:58And Glenda, you brought up a good point, and I want to touch upon it quickly.
08:01If you're at your voting destination and you see somebody's being turned away, what should someone do if they're being turned away or if someone in line next to them is being turned away at the polls?
08:12There's a couple of things you can do.
08:14If you go to our blackwomenvote.com website, you'll find out information about where you need to report.
08:21The League of Women Voters has an excellent voter protection program.
08:24The Voter Protection Organization has a hotline that I don't want to give the number wrong, but maybe we can look that up and share that a little later in the program.
08:34But there is a hotline you can call to ensure that if you see something that you can report it and that our national organization and partners across the country will pay attention to if indeed there needs to be an investigation at that poll site.
08:49You mentioned that every poll site in this country has monitors.
08:53So it's also ask the official there if you feel as though something that you're being turned around, turned away wrongfully.
09:01Wrongfully, definitely.
09:02Glenda, thank you so much for that information.
09:04And of course, we'll have your website across the bottom of our screens for all of our Essence Live audience.
09:08And you can catch it in the replay to find out more information.
09:10Thank you so much, Glenda, for joining us.
09:12Thank you, Dana.
09:13Coming up, Tamara Mallory Housley gives us the scoop on what she thinks of the election, working with her sister and raising her two adorable children.
09:20But right now, does Pooch Hall like the lights on or off?
09:23When it's time, you know.
09:25It's time to enter the steam room.
09:27What's going on, everybody?
09:32It's Pooch Hall and I'm in the steam room.
09:35Yeah.
09:36What's the last sexy thing you dreamed about?
09:40Strawberries and chocolate.
09:43By the pool.
09:44Baby oil.
09:45Yeah.
09:46What's the best compliment you've ever received from a woman?
09:51I like your butt.
09:57What's the sexiest part of a woman's body?
10:01I'm a boob guy because I don't have them.
10:04What's your favorite type of foreplay?
10:08I like my earlobes nibbled on.
10:11I do a little nibbling myself.
10:14I don't know.
10:15I like boobs.
10:16They have to be, you know, taken care of.
10:19What's the best song to make love to?
10:23Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up.
10:25Let's make love tonight.
10:27Mmm.
10:28Whoa, sorry.
10:30I look excited.
10:32What's something sexy you would whisper into a woman's ear?
10:37I love the way your skin feels.
10:39Where's the craziest place you've ever made love?
10:42Cemetery.
10:43I can't wait to do it on a plane.
10:47Lights on or lights off?
10:50Lights on.
10:51Sexy night in or fun night out?
10:55I'll do the fun night out because then when we're done, we're coming back, it's gonna be a sexy night in.
11:02Hey, I'm Issa Rae and you're watching Essence Live.
11:18All right, all right, you're watching Essence Live and I'm your host Dana Blair.
11:25And if you're watching us on Facebook, hey girl, hey.
11:28Flips bangs.
11:29We want to know what you thought of last night's debate.
11:32Who do you think had the better clap backs, Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump?
11:36Let us know in the comments or use hashtag Essence Live and we'll read some of the best responses right here on the show.
11:42All right, Kayla, who's checking in already?
11:46So people have a lot to say about the most recent debate.
11:49So they're chiming in very early.
11:51Claudette Burke said Clinton has my vote.
11:53No way I'd vote for Donald Duck.
11:54He's a nutcase.
11:55That's what she says.
11:57Sylvia Manning says I can only choose to be offended by someone whose opinion I value.
12:01So she kind of left that right there.
12:03Trish Almore says vote like your life depends on it because it does.
12:08Andrea Reid says he's past offensive.
12:10He's disgusting.
12:12And Carmen Gonzalez has black and brown need to stick together and vote this fool out.
12:16Well, all right.
12:17Those are some very good comments.
12:18Keep them coming in.
12:19Coming up, we've got all the hottest fall and winter coats to get you through those chilly temps that are just around the corner.
12:25But first, some of you may remember that we recently went to Los Angeles to visit the ladies of The Real.
12:30And the one thing you all wanted to know is how the cast felt about Tamar Braxton's exit from the show.
12:35Well, I recently spoke with Tamara Mallory Housley about how she feels about the incident now that the dust has settled a bit.
12:41Here's what she had to say.
12:42Honestly, I don't hear from her.
12:47I think she's doing her own thing.
12:49But I'm just trying to put myself in her shoes.
12:51This is probably a very difficult, challenging situation at the time.
12:55Right.
12:56But if I know Tamar the way I knew her, she's not even worrying about it.
13:00She's like on to bigger and better things in her head.
13:03And as long as she is happy and she is thriving and she's being that Tamar that I knew her to be, I wish her much love and much success, honestly.
13:18But neither of us have heard from her.
13:21Okay.
13:22And that's, you know, that's that.
13:24It's a period of transition.
13:25And that's okay.
13:26It is a transition.
13:27And if I'm honest, it was a transition for everybody.
13:30Because in all actuality, and this is probably the last time I'm going to say this, because it was her wish for us not to talk about her anymore.
13:39That was her wish.
13:41We had no idea what was happening and we were affected by it as well because we saw her as our friend, our sister.
13:51That's understandable.
13:52And I know I can speak for the girls.
13:54We wish her the best.
13:55Definitely.
13:56That's understandable.
13:57Additionally, when we met, you mentioned that you and your sister might be doing some more tea work together.
14:02Oh, yes.
14:03Any more tea you can spill on that?
14:05Because our fans definitely, your fans definitely want to hear on Essence Live.
14:08Oh, my goodness, you guys.
14:10I can't really say much.
14:11Okay.
14:12But all I can say is, is that your wish, 99.2% will be happening.
14:24Okay.
14:25We are having meetings and coming together to think about how we can get a sister-sister reunion to happen.
14:34Because we hear about it all the time.
14:36And T and I, we love our fans.
14:38Mm-hmm.
14:39And we want to make that happen.
14:41We talk to the rest of the cast.
14:43They're all excited.
14:44So now it just, fingers crossed, we just need a home.
14:48So Tamarin, now that you have season three, you're working on your new projects with your sister.
14:52Yes.
14:53And you have so much going on.
14:55How do you balance your busy work schedule and mother?
14:58Ah, girl.
14:59You got two little ones.
15:00I know I have two ones.
15:02Two little ones now.
15:04Naturally, it's just an adjustment.
15:06Mm-hmm.
15:07Especially after the first one, you kind of know what you're going to go through.
15:11So with the second one, I kind of have a little bit more of a grip on my chaotic schedule.
15:17Which, I'm so happy you brought up that question because I'm really excited to be partnering with Total Wireless.
15:23And basically Total Wireless is just an affordable wireless service that helps moms just stay connected with their family.
15:33And it also just gives them the confidence to be that Total Boss mom.
15:38What's your mom style versus your auntie style?
15:41Oh, auntie style?
15:42I want to spoil the heck out of Cree.
15:44Like, when he comes over, sure, you can have candy.
15:48Sure, you can have French fries.
15:50You can have French fries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
15:53I'm sure Tia loves that.
15:54Yes.
15:55But, of course, Tia's like, oh, hell no.
15:57And then, you know, I'm a mom, so I know that if it was vice versa, I would be like, Tia, what the hell are you doing?
16:03You can't do that.
16:04What are you doing?
16:05But I don't know.
16:06I feel like it's my job.
16:07Now, you say that you're a traditional conservative, if you will.
16:10Yes.
16:11What's your take on what's happening in this election as we're getting so close to the big day?
16:16This is what I would like to see happen.
16:21I would like to see us talk more about the plans and the policies you're going to put in place.
16:30Agreed.
16:31Not a big boxing match.
16:34Okay, I get it.
16:36You don't like her.
16:37She doesn't like you.
16:39Now, let's talk about what we're going to do.
16:41And now we have gender issues that are right at the forefront.
16:45We're talking about Trump's comments.
16:47Have you guys discussed this or what's your personal take on that?
16:50Just in general about what he says?
16:52What he said recently.
16:53Oh, that.
16:54And his viewpoints on women specifically.
16:56Well, I think I would be an idiot if I didn't say what he says is just ridiculous.
17:05Because he's trying to pass it off as just like locker room talk, like words are just words.
17:08Well, this is the thing.
17:09I can say this.
17:11My husband actually was in a locker room for a very long time.
17:14He played professional baseball.
17:16And I asked him.
17:17I said, Adam, is this traditional locker room talk?
17:21He said, no, Tamara.
17:23Like, guys.
17:24The way he started off, yes.
17:26Right, a little banter.
17:27A little banter.
17:28Yeah, like, oh, she's hot.
17:30Her legs, you know.
17:31Wow.
17:32Like, ooh, beautiful.
17:34Mm-hmm.
17:35But when you're talking about forcing yourself on someone.
17:37Right.
17:38And talking about how you, just because of who you are, you can do anything that you would
17:43like.
17:44Mm-hmm.
17:45To a woman.
17:46That's when you go a little bit too far.
17:48That's too far.
17:49And, you know, for me, this is how I am going to vote.
17:53And that's in regards to both of them.
17:55Mm-hmm.
17:56Um, I'm going to focus on the issues and the policies that are important to me.
18:02And I'm going to base my vote on that.
18:06Because I think never before I read in 30 years that a lot of people are just like, huh?
18:13And race is also a big topic of conversation in this election.
18:16Um, and you've been very vocal about being biracial, about the criticism you've received,
18:20about your choice in husband and that sort of thing.
18:23Your children are very young right now.
18:25Yes.
18:26But what do you plan on teaching them about race as they get a little bit older, especially
18:30in this world?
18:31I pray, and I read this maybe three years ago, on the cover of Time magazine.
18:37They say that majority of people are going to look like my son and my daughter.
18:43Because a lot of people are mixing now.
18:45Which I find very interesting about the racial tension that's happening.
18:49Because statistically, one in every 10 marriages right now is an interracial marriage.
18:54Mm-hmm.
18:55So it shows you that the millennials and the Generation X, you know, generation.
19:02Right.
19:03We're moving forward.
19:04A lot of the times when people act that way, it's because of ignorance.
19:07Right.
19:08And you have to educate them in return in a positive, loving way.
19:12Mm-hmm.
19:13It's always easier said than done.
19:14Right.
19:15But I've learned in my life, when I fight back with love, that's when you're going
19:20to see a more positive change.
19:23And that's how I've lived my entire life.
19:25You know, there are people still talk about, oh, Tamara, you think you're white because
19:28you married a white man.
19:30Do you realize how dumb that sounds?
19:32It's ignorance.
19:33It's ignorance.
19:34Yeah.
19:35Really?
19:36It's ignorance.
19:37I have a black mama.
19:38Mm-hmm.
19:39And I am very proud of who I am.
19:40Mm-hmm.
19:41And when I married my husband, I didn't see color.
19:42You fell in love?
19:43I fell in love with him.
19:44Mm-hmm.
19:45He wasn't even my type at first.
19:46I was like, who is it?
19:47Oh, and it got me.
19:48Mm-hmm.
19:49Do you see what I'm saying?
19:50So...
19:51I'm a Lethal Weapon fanatic.
19:55I love the franchise.
19:57Once I read the script, there was no kind of skepticism on my part.
20:02I knew it was going to be great and that people would love it and the fans would appreciate
20:06it as well.
20:07So my character on Lethal Weapon is Trish.
20:10She's a high-powered defense attorney and she's a mother.
20:13She's a loving wife.
20:15And the thing I love about, even just about Trish is that she's able to balance it all.
20:20And I think everybody out there can relate to that because a lot of women are working.
20:24A lot of women are also following their dream.
20:26And I think it's important to see this character on television, this person who...
20:31I like to call her the Michelle Obama of television.
20:33She's a woman who's doing it all and able to balance it all and I think it's a great
20:38example for people to see.
20:40So working with Damon Wayans is laughter.
20:43If I would put one word to it, I would say laughter because he has us cracking up all
20:47the time.
20:48And there's so much on the cutting room floor because you can't use it.
20:51And so one of the things I had to do even for my character is to have Trish fall in love
20:55with him because of his humor.
20:57So when I'm laughing on set, it works.
20:59They don't have to cut it.
21:00Or when he's trying to crack me up, I'm saying, no, this is a serious moment.
21:03Stop joking.
21:04And I get to do that in character because it works.
21:06So it's a pleasure working with him.
21:09So we need our shoes as well.
21:11Of course we need some shoes.
21:12Which ones should I grab for these?
21:13Let's go with the flat sandals.
21:15Okay.
21:16A nice nude sandal.
21:17Comfy.
21:18You don't want anything too cumbersome.
21:19So I'm going to put those in the bottom.
21:21Now, is there like a shoes on the bottom, shoes on top type of tip?
21:25I say shoes on the bottom.
21:26Shoes are always going to take up so much space.
21:28So you want to put them on the bottom, let them anchor your bag, and then everything else
21:32kind of just gets in where it fits in.
21:33Okay, I heard that.
21:34I heard that.
21:38Welcome back to Essence Live.
21:39I'm your host, Dana Blair.
21:41Fall is in full effect, and winter is right around the corner.
21:44So you know what that means.
21:45Chunky sweaters, sexy boots, and coats, coats, and more coats.
21:49Some runway trends from this year's Fashion Week include fabulous capes, statement furs, military-inspired jackets,
21:55and unfortunately an expensive price tag.
21:58But don't worry, because here to show us how to get those runway looks for a much more affordable price
22:03is Essence fashion assistant, Avon Zorcy.
22:05Hey, boo.
22:06Hey, boo.
22:07Welcome back.
22:09Welcome back.
22:10Okay, so I love all of these trends.
22:12Yes.
22:13How do we rock a runway look in real life?
22:15So it's easy.
22:16You see what comes on the runway, you take notice of Fashion Week, and then you just go online to your favorite retailers,
22:22look for the discount price, and then also those retailers that sell for cheaper.
22:27Discount price.
22:28Discount, yeah.
22:29That's the key word, everybody.
22:30Okay, so we are going to get started because you have some yummies for us today.
22:33Yes.
22:34So the first trend to splash the runways was patent leather.
22:36Designers like Isabelle Marant, Longvin, and Prinze Schuler all featured coats with this bold material.
22:41Avon, tell us about our first model's look and how to pull it off.
22:44Yes, here we have Dawn.
22:45She is rocking a Zara biker coat with contrast and patent finish, and it's not full-out patent leather.
22:52It's on the sleeves and it's on the epaulettes, and she's giving it to you nice for the work wear.
22:57This is really cute.
22:58And I like the zippers too.
22:59It gives it a little edge.
23:00Yes, the zippers give edge.
23:01Again, it's like a biker look and a biker feel, but she can wear this into the office, and she can also take it and go into the night.
23:08Can you do all patent leather?
23:10Yes, if you're the fashionista that's bold and you want to give that full patent leather look, go for it.
23:14But if you're kind of tame, this is the jacket for you.
23:17It's right on the sleeves.
23:18It's just a touch of the patent leather trend.
23:20So if you do a full patent leather coat, don't you come in here with a full patent leather pant?
23:23Girl, if you do full patent leather, do a jean to dull it down with a nice sneaker or a nice shoe.
23:30Awesome.
23:31And how much is this coat?
23:32This coat is $149 at Zara.com.
23:34You better be affordable at one of my favorite places.
23:36Yes, we love Zara.
23:37I love Zara.
23:38Thank you so much.
23:39Thanks, Dawn.
23:40Alright, the next trend we have is the cape.
23:42Designers like D-Squared, JW Anderson, and Marnie had models strut their stuff, rocking traditional and unconventional capes.
23:48So let's take a look at our next look.
23:50Yes.
23:51Next we have Lanisha.
23:52Yes, Lanisha.
23:53And she's wearing the cape trend.
23:54She's slaying.
23:55But it's also the fur trend as well, which was huge on the runway.
23:58Right.
23:59So here she has Coalition LA Together Fur Ever shawl.
24:03And it's something that you can do when you're going out on a date night with Bae or if you're going out with your girls for drinks at night.
24:09And I noticed this cape has pockets.
24:11It does.
24:12So you can put like all your numbers.
24:13And you can put your cell phone in there, your lipstick.
24:18I mean, it's perfect.
24:19You don't have to go all out with the full-length fur.
24:21It's a cape and you just throw it on over your outfit.
24:24Now, can you layer a cape with like another coat or is that a no-no?
24:27I wouldn't say layer.
24:28I would just do the cape, put on a nice outfit, make sure it's warm and snuggie underneath, and then the cape does all the talking for you.
24:35You've got a talk cape.
24:36Yeah.
24:37And what's the retail price for this?
24:38This retail price is $82.
24:39Oh, you can't beat that.
24:40Come on.
24:41CoalitionLA.com.
24:42It's the perfect price for a perfect night out.
24:44You can't beat that.
24:45I can't.
24:46Thank you so much.
24:47Thanks, Laisha.
24:48Alright, next up we have Tibby Burberry and Tommy Hilfiger were just a few of the designers who featured our next trend, military-inspired coats.
24:54Avon, tell us about this next look and where can we get it?
24:57Yes, we have Tiara and she is wearing a coat by The Limited.
25:01It's an oversized peacoat and it's perfect because it's military but it's not too much.
25:06The cut is military and it's a twist because of the plaid.
25:10The lapels are military, very strong, very bold.
25:13Right, right.
25:14You wear this with your jeans and a sweater and you're good to go.
25:16And I love this coat.
25:17I love the colors but I also love the whole just kind of like tossing it over the shoulders.
25:22Yes.
25:23How do you keep that on?
25:25It's magic glue.
25:26It's magic.
25:27You know, you just make sure your outfit underneath is perfect and snug underneath and you just throw the coat over top.
25:35And you just tug it, bring it on the shoulders and this is $200.
25:39Oh, that's perfect.
25:40$200.
25:41And so it's the cut that makes it the military.
25:43The military, yes.
25:44And so $200 and you said where is this from?
25:46The Limited.
25:47Perfect, perfect.
25:48Thank you so much.
25:49Thanks, Tiara.
25:50Okay, you have one more trend for us.
25:51Yes, we do.
25:52All right, and that is the oversized coat.
25:54My personal favorite.
25:55Designers like Isabelle Marant, Marc Jacobs, and Public School feature this hard to pull off trend.
25:59And I always say it's hard to pull off because sometimes if you go too big, it looks like you stole your man's coat, which I do all the time.
26:05Right.
26:06Or it's just like you're being a little sloppy.
26:07Right.
26:08So tell us about this next one.
26:09We have Tyler.
26:10She is wearing the Oversized Balmer and it's a great color, the gray, and it's a Faith Laced Up Detail Balmer from Boohoo.
26:17Mm-hmm.
26:18This is amazing.
26:19Oh, look at the back.
26:20See, that shoestring lace design in the back is what sells the coat.
26:24So when people see you from a distance, they're like, ooh, that's hot.
26:26Mm-hmm.
26:27And you know, and it's a great price.
26:29It's only $45.
26:30Only $45?
26:31$45 at Boohoo.com.
26:32So we can leave this jacket here and it's going to come out your budget?
26:35But we can make something happen.
26:36I'm just saying.
26:37I'm just saying.
26:38And now can you wear the Oversized look in like bright colors or is that a no-no?
26:41You can do bright colors, but it's fall, winter.
26:43So you don't want to be too bright, you know what I mean?
26:45And you want to make sure you get this in your size.
26:47Okay.
26:48You don't want to go too high in the size range.
26:50Okay.
26:51So get your hat.
26:52Besides it's perfect, they've already designed it to be oversized.
26:54Perfect.
26:55Yes.
26:56I love this look.
26:57This is absolutely amazing.
26:58Can we have all of our models come back out for one final look?
27:00Okay.
27:01They all look amazing.
27:02Because they're all very different personalities, right?
27:04Yeah.
27:05Different personalities, day to night, and affordable prices.
27:07They look absolutely amazing.
27:08So to recap, we have Dawn rocking the patent leather trend.
27:11Lanisha showed off that fabulous fur cape.
27:14Tiara had a military-inspired coat with a twist.
27:17And Tyler rocked a super cute oversized bomber.
27:20Thank you so much, ladies.
27:21Avon, thank you so much.

30:10Are they talking Trump and Hillary, or are they talking Kendu and Mary?
30:13Well, the Donald Trump comments have not stopped since it started.
30:17All right, so Cherie Reese says,
30:19Any woman with any sense should be offended, including his thirsty wife.
30:23She said that.
30:24She hydration.
30:24She went there.
30:25Lorraine Strowman says,
30:27I was more offended when he labeled the inner cities as places that were full of uneducated, unemployed killers.
30:31I have no problem being a nasty woman towards him.
30:34Hmm, let him know.
30:36Suzanne Coney wanted to talk about Mary Jane's divorce.
30:38Of course.
30:39Go ahead, Suzanne.
30:40She said,
30:40Kendu has lost his mind.
30:41Shame on him.
30:43He doesn't want to try and take care of himself.
30:44I don't know what went wrong with the marriage, but you're just being greedy.
30:47Men, wow.
30:48$130,000 a month.
30:49I mean, come on, that's a lot.
30:50For the chef and the, what else do you need?
30:52I don't know.
30:53And his personal trainer.
30:54And his kids from another marriage.
