00:00Well, I am Light, and right now I am, wow, on the sidelines of the Wealth Experience,
00:13which we are sort of, not backstage, but side stage.
00:17Can you talk to me a little bit about the inspiration behind the experience and this
00:22foundation and what prompted you to create this?
00:26Well, Hip Hop Sisters Foundation was about many different things.
00:30We have our signature initiative, hashtag EducateOurMen, where we send young men to school.
00:35Wealth Experience sort of ties into that because all of the money that we raise funnels over
00:40into sending young men off to further their education at HBC's.
00:46And Dillard is our first partnership.
00:49And then we have a financial component, financial literacy that we do with Women, Wealth and
00:54Relationship, that we take out all year long.
00:58We've done it at, you know, all the BET events, BET Awards, Soul Train, Circle of Sisters, Indiana
01:04Expo, you know, wherever they call us to come.
01:08We definitely want to be present.
01:11And of course, our mentoring program.
01:14We've partnered with Honey Shine, with Tracy and Alonzo Mourning out of Miami.
01:19And we've opened two chapters in South Central Los Angeles.
01:23It's called Honey Shine.
01:25And we have third and fourth graders in the program at both schools.
01:29So we are ecstatic that we're able to do this much work for the community with Hip Hop Sisters.
01:35And of course, Wealth Experience, our president and co-founder, Dr. Lynn Richardson, this is
01:39her baby.
01:40You know, she started Wealth Experience, I think, in 2008.
01:45And this is the second year that we're doing it in conjunction with Hip Hop Sisters.
01:50So it works out perfectly.
01:52That is great.
01:54In terms of the sessions that have been occurring and going on, is there one in particular that
01:58really, I guess, took it home for you?
02:02Well, they're still going on.
02:04But I loved the power in powerful partnership, which happened earlier today.
02:11It was great to see the three women there that they're actually on a national tour and they're
02:17going overseas with this exact presentation.
02:21And it just told the importance of partnership and what it means to know what your partner's
02:28communication style is like and what you can expect of them.
02:33And when someone's having a, you know, a bad day, how to look past that because you know
02:38the origin and the spirit of who they are and they might just be having a bad day.
02:45And you know, they talked about a number of different points that could help one who is working
02:51in an entrepreneurial setting with other partners.
02:55That's one thing.
02:56All right.
