In a world where people are often demonized by the color of their skin, these ESSENCE Festival attendees let us know the moment they woke up and realized Black was indeed beautiful.

01:18when my mother raised six boys and three girls by herself successfully and we're
01:22all living our dreams bringing it back home. When I had a great a great life for my
01:31family. When my wonderful mom would always tell me day-to-day how handsome I
01:37was and how important how smart I was she always instilled that in me and my mom is
01:42here mom mom mom mom when did you know your black was beautiful mom? Our first day I was
01:48born. Boom. There you go.
