00:39After the first month of us launching the business, our business doubled.

00:48The way that I invested in myself is I decided that the salary was not going to be the most important thing to me.

01:02The minute that I graduated college, I picked up some finance books.
01:06I wanted to learn about 401k that they offer at our job.
01:09I wanted to learn about savings accounts and what they actually mean.
01:12And I definitely had some fear when it came to investing, but when I saw the return after a year,
01:21and I'm like, that money was working for me, I didn't have to do anything.
01:26The sooner you start saving, the earlier your money can start to work for you.
01:30One of the greatest lessons I learned from a financial advisor is that if you can't buy it twice, you probably can't afford it.
01:39I've kind of wrote my own rules, and I stuck to my own rules, and I was able to become successful by doing so.

02:05to sort of like hug you after the event and talk to you about your goals, you know.
02:10You have this sort of fellowship of women.
02:12We're all being transparent.
02:13We're talking about our money, and then before you leave, there's someone there to kind of set you on your way.
02:19And I think Northwestern Mutual is amazing for doing that for us.
