00:00Trevor, do you hear that?
00:01I'm ready.
00:02It's the sound of women scribbling your name in their journals right now.
00:09Do you hear it?
00:10It's very...
00:10No, I hear it. It's faint, but distinct.
00:13It's distinct. You can see the teeth happening.
00:17This is the heartthrob, guys, of Grown-ish.
00:20One of them.
00:21Y'all's got a lot to choose from.
00:23No, she only has the one to choose from. She chose wrong.
00:25She chose wrong.
00:26You're giving me woke vibes.
00:28Your character on Grown-ish is definitely Mr. Black Lives Matter, Mr. Woke.
00:32Can you talk about the importance of having a character like him on a show like this?
00:37He's the world-conscious person, I feel like, of the show.
00:42You have the soul, then you have the artistic side,
00:45and he's more of the, obviously, political world aware.
00:50But I think it's very important.
00:51I think the show in general, the reason why it's so dope
00:56is because either you are on the show or you know someone that is on the show.
01:01Like, it represents everyone.
01:02So we're talking about having this character,
01:04but we haven't really gotten to see young black kids be in college in a while.
01:10You know, shout out to a different world.
01:11Well, young black people in general on screen
01:13that aren't, like, shooting somebody or selling drugs.
01:16True.
01:17So I think that's a win in itself.
01:21And I think, yeah, it's just happy.
01:23You know, I think every time, even when it comes to movies and stuff,
01:27you know, often we see us, it's like a struggle and like a thing.
01:30It's always got to be an, oh, and it's like, you can't just sit back and like,
01:34what we do all day, which is laugh,
01:36and try and teach each other about different things.
01:39But there's, it's honest, like, joy, you know.
01:42Do you feel connected to Aaron?
01:45In some ways.
01:46I'm not too political because I'm a super creative person.
01:50I'm like always trying to make music.
01:51And, you know, I just, I don't know.
01:54It brings me down when I like watch the news and like things.
01:57It's just like, ah.
01:58And if I tried to like, you know, I would explode.
02:01So I'm like, let me just make a song.
02:02Let me like, you know, make a movie.
02:04And every time I make those things, put what I want people to be like
02:09or what I feel like people could be inspired by in those things.
02:12We all know and love Yara.
02:15Do you not fall in love with her every time you're on set?
02:17Like, how does that, how do you cut that off?
02:19She's like my sis.
02:20She's like my baby sister, you know.
02:21And I fall in love with her, with her genuine kindness.
02:26I think a lot of people want to do it for other reasons,
02:31like we were talking about before.
02:32Like, you know, it's like when you see a homeless,
02:35when you see like a video of a guy and it's like,
02:37oh, I'm passing out burgers.
02:39But he never does that when the camera's not on.
02:41So I think that she's like the perfect example of somebody
02:44who whether the camera's on or off,
02:45she's genuinely trying to like help people
02:49and is genuinely kind and doesn't just do it to be like,
02:51oh, Yara's so nice.
02:53She doesn't want to hear, it's not to hear that.
02:55It's just, this is who I am.
02:57Right, but she chose wrong.
02:59Here we are with Luca.
03:01Luca, what are we going to see from you guys,
03:04from your relationship in this season?
03:05Uh, I mean, everything is going on.
03:08Everything is cool, man.
03:09Everything is fun.
03:10Good show.
03:10You should watch it.
03:12We're going to watch it.
03:12No spoilers.
03:14I think this is time for Aaron, though,
03:15to, you know, surprise wings and just figure out who he is.
03:17I think there's going to be a lot of him self-discovering,
03:21you know, him evolving.
03:23Can you tell me why you think people need to watch Grown-ish?
03:28People need to watch Grown-ish, uh, one, because it's awesome.
03:32And it's funny.
03:33And I think the pace of it is good.
03:34I think a lot of shows now, um, can drag out a bit.
03:41But I think this show is like a perfect balance of that.
03:43Like, you get enough education, but you get enough entertainment.
03:45Definitely if you're in the realm, if you've been to college
03:48or you're going to college or you're in college,
03:50which is, you know, hopefully everyone, um,
03:53you know, you find home in this show, I think.
