Actor Trevor Jackson speaking about Grown-ish and the relationship between Aaron and Zoey.
Transcript
00:00Moving more to the romantic aspect of the show, you know, there's been a lot of up and downs between Zoe and Aaron over the years.
00:06But being objectively speaking, I know you do play Aaron and you side with him a lot.
00:10But for Zoe, are you more so Team Aaron or Team Luca for where she is in her life?
00:17Let me think about that. Team Aaron. That isn't a question.
00:21For sure. I think she I think Team Luca is what she thinks that she wants, you know, an idea.
00:28I feel like we all have an idea of a person that we think we're supposed to be with.
00:31And then the person we end up being with is nothing that we thought was like our preference or our taste.
00:37And typically that's why people live their life in loops, because they're like, I want this and this doesn't make me happy.
00:42And they keep saying, oh, but, you know, sometimes you got to step out and look from the outside, looking in and be like, oh, maybe it's the formula.
00:49This plus this keeps coming up with this. So let me switch it up.
00:53And sometimes it takes, you know, falling a few times to get that.
00:56But yeah, I definitely think Aaron is more her speed.
01:01Thanks. And finally, I know you can't give spoilers, of course, for the second half of this season, but Aaron dies.
01:07He dies. Oh, no.
01:09In the most easy way possible, what are you looking forward to fans seeing from Aaron in the second half of senior year?
01:18I mean, just who? You're becoming a man.
01:23When you become a man, you got to make some tough decisions.
01:26And not everybody's going to be happy about the decisions you make, but what are you going to do?
01:34Mason, thank you so much for your time today. I really appreciate it.
01:36Thank you. You have a great day.
