00:50well absolutely really now the diversity in Hollywood is a big topic this year do you and
00:57your fellow actors and actresses of all ethnic backgrounds you ever talk about diversity in
01:02Hollywood whether it's in front of the camera or behind I don't know if we have you know pointy
01:07conversations I'll get together of course I was with one of my dear friends last night we may we
01:11you can't you can't help but talk about the business or you know roles you're going up for but uh you
01:17know it comes up and and a lot of times you're you know work that you've seen other sisters do we
01:24know work that excites you you know you want to talk about that do you think that a boycott is
01:30necessary I mean there's a lot of buzz on Twitter right now of course Chris Rock is hosting the Oscars
01:36do you think a boycott is maybe going too far well maybe just sometimes just bringing up the word it
01:41seems to have been enough rolling people out a boycott I think one comedian said you know I don't
01:50knock on your door just because you didn't invite me and say you know I'm boycott I'm not coming over
01:54I'm not coming over there I'm interested when I see a diversity in the land that's when I'm most
02:00excited you know because I like to see all types of movies all types yeah I don't not see a movie
02:08because the people don't look like me you know if if I hear it's a great story or good characters
02:14or bad you know performance then I can relate of course do you have any words of wisdom or advice
02:21to fellow black women in Hollywood who may be here presently or coming up just words of encouragement
02:26or advice just remain passionate about it you know don't don't let that die don't let that flame die
02:34out you know remain passionate stay positive speak positively believe encourage support you know
02:43all those things work because it can be you know it can be easy to turn cynical no I mean in this
02:50profession or mate and any other no yeah no that makes sense you can't you have to as as I love the
02:57saying by Alex Haley find the good and praise it because there's some good in there's some good
