00:00It was a beautiful moment. I think sometimes you can get so caught up with
00:08work. You work very long hours in television. You get a 30-minute lunch
00:12break. By the time you get to the trailer you probably have 20 minutes left.
00:16You don't see the writers a lot of times. You definitely don't see the showrunners
00:21or the other actors in Shondaland. So it's great to be with them in one room
00:26because what you get is the sense of community, which is so important with
00:31actors to feel that sense of camaraderie, that we're all in it together, the
00:37support, the acknowledgement, you know. So I loved it. It was a beautiful moment. It's
00:44why I do what I do. There is nothing like working with a woman in television,
00:51especially a woman of color. I always say that no matter where you are in life,
00:55you migrate towards people who get you. And she gets you. She does. She just does.
01:03She gets me. She gets Carrie. She gets how we're different. She accepts our
01:08differences. She's bold. She's brave. She's courageous. She has a voice and she has
01:15talent. There's nothing like it. There is nothing else like it. I worked with a lot
01:22of other people who have been absolutely stupendous also. But this is a different
01:26sort of experience, I think, with Shonda Rhimes. If there's any character I could
01:32play, my goodness, I don't know. I mean, probably Shonda Wilson on Grey's Anatomy. I think she's very authoritative.
01:41But I think there's other stuff going on there that can trip people up, surprise people. I like that.
01:48You know, always Olivia Pope. Everyone wants to be Olivia Pope.
