00:00I was there in 2009 with my father he was being honored for the gospel
00:09celebration and up until that point I was living in Virginia and I was working
00:14with the Air Force so I wasn't really I guess aware to the outside world outside
00:19of our church home the impact that my father's ministry had had and so being
00:23there as they honored him and showed these video clips and seeing how many
00:27people came out to support is one of the most memorable moments that I have from
00:31Essence Festival I think it's always great that when my father gets a chance
00:36to see the impact that all of his hard work has created in our generation and
00:40our community so I was really glad to be a part of that hi I am Sarah Jicks and I
00:46am so excited to be empowering you at the Essence Festival in New Orleans July 4th
00:52weekend we're going to talk about the lessons that I learned through love
00:55heartbreak and faith I hope to see you there let's come together to create
