Transcript
00:00Hi, I'm Dena Campbell, hair and beauty editor at Essence.com, and today I have with me Diane
00:09Bailey who is a celebrity hairstylist and a beauty ambassador for Shea Moisture. Today
00:16she's going to talk to us a little bit about how to properly detangle hair. Can you tell
00:21us a little bit about the steps? Well, step one would always be to shampoo with a de-moisturizing
00:28shampoo to cleanse and to seal the mixture. Step two would be to get a moisturizing conditioner
00:35as a leave-in. Step three is to make your own cocktail. Now, that would include another
00:42conditioner, some oil, and about four ounces of water. Shake to a milky consistency and
00:48then spray throughout your hair before you comb. Step four would be to comb, and step five
00:55would be to section it off in manageable sections so you can style or blow dry. The cocktail
01:00that I suggested earlier is great for wash and go, to reactivate whatever is in your hair.
