00:14the future and minimalism and films like Tron. If anyone has been following my work they would
00:20see that I'm really into science fiction. I always have a futuristic element within my designs. I
00:26use fabrics like neoprene, cashmere, wool and the really unusual glitter. The Chantal Walters
00:33woman, I wouldn't put her in a box too much. I just know that she's not afraid of walking
00:38into the room and everyone looking at her. She likes to travel, she likes to speak different
00:42languages. She's probably an artistic person. She might not be an artist but she appreciates
00:47art. She's interesting. People want to get to know her.
00:56I came to New York for the first time in 2008. I think the first trip that really made a
01:04difference was 2010. I went to Fashion Week. I had a ticket for one show. I literally just
01:09went to one show and then I made contacts and I was able to meet more people and then I just
01:14go on Facebook. To be honest if I didn't have the internet I wouldn't be able to do half
01:17of the stuff that I do. For me to be in this show right now it's purely because I contacted
01:21someone on Facebook and then they introduced me to Brandis in person and then I guess the
01:26rest is history. Many people probably wonder why I've chosen to show my debut show in New
01:32York. To be honest I feel like the New York fashion scene has really embraced me and I
01:37just feel so lucky and blessed to be able to be here right now.
