00:15And I found myself actually designing for Kerry Washington
00:18because my line speaks to her character, the strong, powerful woman,
00:22not afraid to look fashionable and chic in the office.
00:27I think Olivia Pope will wear this suit.
00:30It's a very powerful, vibrant suit.
00:32It's always in pantsuits, fun, strong.
00:36That's why it's opening up the show for me.
00:43Being born in Zimbabwe, moving to London and now living in America,
00:47it's always going to be an influence from my background.
00:50I can't escape from it because it's who I am.
00:53And I actually love it because I get to bring the African side,
00:56I get to bring the Western side, you know, the European side,
01:00and all blend it in and just create a unique chic woman.
01:07The Harlem Fashion Royal experience has been awesome.
01:14To be on that platform and show the world,
01:17because I feel like the fashion industry is very difficult to penetrate as a woman of color.
01:22This is my first show since I moved to New York.
01:24So being able to get on that stage and showcase my line means the world to me.
