01:00You know, what's great about working with Rachel is because she really knows her girl and she really understands who her girl is.
01:06And this is about the fourth or fifth season that I have the chance to work with Rachel.
01:10What's great about Rachel is that she really understands texture.
01:14She understands what this girl looks like.
01:16So when she told me kind of adjectives of what the collection was, whimsical, lots of prints, beautiful fabrics, lots of color, I thought immediately a ponytail.
01:27The look for Rachel Roy is a very beautiful, very modern look.
01:32It's a quintessential girl that goes from the Uptown Museum but spends most of her time at the galleries in the High Line, meaning she's downtown, she's cool.
01:43The clothes are Uptown.
01:45They're beautiful.
01:46They're easy.
01:46And the girls look modern and fresh.
01:48And the look is a bronzy, beachy look done for a city.
01:53Could you just tell us a little bit about the inspiration for the collection?
01:56Sure.
01:57Spring 2013 started from an idea of just really wanting to make it vibrant and uplifting and show women how to mix prints.
02:05And that's kind of my new color blocking is so mixing prints in one piece.
02:11And I wanted to kind of show an effortless ease.
02:15I wanted to pair things the way that I personally would wear them.
02:20And I wanted women to know that they can be just as sexy and just as feminine in some looser silhouettes.
02:27The shoes in the collection I'm really in love with.
02:29There's a rhinestone number that when all else fails you can put this pair of shoes on and they're just fun.
02:37And for me shoes should be equal parts sexy and strong.
02:40So I'm not really interested in a sexy shoe unless it can show me some strength.
02:45And that's the same kind of woman that I aspire to be or that I like to surround myself with.
02:51I think again trying to help my customer, my woman, showcase many facets of herself while it's still keeping a bit of mystery.
03:01So the Rachel Roy presentation was just full of life and energy.
03:04A lot of neon braids mixed with prints and patterns.
03:08She's also really into pants this season too.
03:11Although she started a dress shop online, her strength is in pants this season.
03:16And overall it was really lively and energetic.
03:21Nicole, hair and makeup?
03:23I would definitely say I fell in love with the hair at the Rachel Roy show.
03:27Ted Gibson created a very sleek and elegant, sophisticated ponytail.
03:32Kind of just pulled back.
03:34Very easy.
03:35Very much for the girl who just loves to get up and go but still looks fabulous at the same time.
03:40Bobbi Brown created a very glowy, illuminating makeup look with a touch of burnt sheer metallic eyeshadow and a nude lip,
03:49which we're seeing a lot of this season.
03:51So overall I love the hair and I was obsessed with the makeup.
