00:01The inspiration behind this collection was actually multifaceted.
00:07Opposites attracting, futurisms and traditionalisms, tribalism, everything really.
00:13Tongue is beautiful in everything.
00:16But particularly I thought in something like really colorful for her skin to just like really highlight this dress.
00:23Because the stress is about color and the tongue is about color.
00:29Easy, comfortable clothes, you slip in, slip out, colorful.
00:32It epitomizes my feeling about easy on, easy off, comfortable.
00:37It's summertime, who wants to be bothered fixing?
00:41It's just something you should be able to slip into and slip out of and that's comfortable.
00:46She's not of an age, she's of a mindset.
00:49She knows who she is, she's a confident woman, she likes to dress, she loves color.
00:55What inspires my collection?
00:57I'm really a gypsy at heart, visually stimulated.
01:02You know, black is a color that I love.
01:05It's my color.
01:06I love black and white.
01:07I love the boldness of it.
01:10I also love the simplicity of it.
01:12I love the fact that when you see something black, it lets your mind wander.
01:17It stirs my creativity because there's nothing there.
01:21You know, it really forces your imagination to dream something up.
01:26The collection really is about being glamorous but modern.
01:30So it's, you know, to be relevant, women who live today but love the idea of being glamorous.
01:38So I love to say that Ms. Tyson started her career, or came on the scene I should say, as a model.
01:45So, I know what I'm doing.
01:48But I also think she epitomizes Hollywood glamour and what modern women can be as a glamorous woman.
01:56I think she 100% is that.
01:59I have been wearing V. Michael for quite some time.
02:02And I tell you, each garment that he creates for me makes me feel richer and fuller and more the woman.
02:13The sophisticated woman.
02:15When I'm designing the collection, I'm not thinking of one quote-unquote perfect woman.
02:20I think all women are perfect in their own way.
02:22So the idea is how do we offer choices that are going to flatter different body types,
02:28different skin tones, you know, different lifestyles even.
02:32Because that's really what's modern now.
02:34I don't think women want to be confined into one, you know, one perfect muse.
02:40That's not my life, you know.
02:42If I get up in the morning and I've got a day that's, you know, stretching from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.,
02:48you know, my clothes have to work for me, not the other way around.
