00:00This is who, what, where.
00:02When, why, and how.
00:08Hello, I'm Blake Lively.
00:09And I'm Isabella Ferrer.
00:11And today, we are going to make flower arrangements.
00:14How would you rate your flower arranging skills?
00:17From one to ten.
00:18Well, honestly, I love arranging flowers.
00:21I'm very tough on myself and I'm very competitive with myself.
00:25Yeah.
00:25But this is one of those things that I find just to be kind of meditative
00:29and therapeutic.
00:30And it's just more about just like the journey, the process.
00:33Do you have any tips for me as I do this myself?
00:36Something I learned recently from MarthaStewart.com.
00:39I'm not sponsored by them.
00:41You cut them and then after you cut them,
00:43you want to go like this for about an inch and a half up.
00:45If you split the end of the stem on hydrangeas, they absorb water better.
00:49So that's a nice little tip.
00:50But different flowers have different needs.
00:52Isabella, do you remember how we first met?
00:55We were doing a camera test.
00:56And you came out in a Jessica Rabbit dress.
01:01Oh, wow.
01:01Literally.
01:02I remember being super, super nervous, but you were so sweet.
01:06Immediately you just literally took me back to your room.
01:09And then we were getting ready and I was getting freckles sprayed on me
01:12and you were just telling me the craziest stories I've ever heard in my life
01:14about the casting process of this film.
01:16If you could take home one item from Lily's wardrobe, what would it be?
01:20She always wears these brown Doc Martens.
01:22There's just something so like grounding about wearing like a really strong pair of boots.
01:26And they're a lovely brown color and they were worn in.
01:28And yeah, I love Doc Martens, so can't go wrong with that.
01:31Well, I know your new wrap gift.
01:33I know we're not supposed to pull from these flower arrangements, but...
01:35Oh, are you doing that?
01:36Sorry.
01:37I was told to ask you what your thoughts are on receiving flowers in general.
01:42Like who doesn't like receiving flowers?
01:45I would love to receive flowers.
01:47What are your thoughts on kindness?
01:48Fan?
01:49Overplayed?
01:50Underplayed?
01:51If you mean by underplayed, like it should happen more?
01:53Yeah.
01:54What would be your favorite memory of receiving flowers from someone?
01:57Or a loved one specifically?
01:58I mean, it's not my flowers that I received.
02:02I was working with Chanel and my mom was sitting with Karl Lagerfeld
02:06and she was saying to him that she had never received flowers in her life.
02:11And she's like, you know, people like handing me flowers.
02:14But I remember just like had someone like send me flowers.
02:16Like my husband will come home if he remembers.
02:18Then, you know, a couple months later, I'm working with Chanel again and I bring them
02:22and I walked into my hotel room and it was like someone died.
02:26Like a queen died or like Baz Luhrmann had been there.
02:30The whole room was just filled like Gatsby style with the most incredible flowering since ever.
02:37And I was like, wow, Chanel's really grateful to be working with me.
02:40And they were all to my mom and Karl had sent her flowers and wrote a beautiful note.
02:45And it was just like, oh my God.
02:47It was like, I still have goosebumps.
02:48What's your favorite memory of receiving flowers?
02:51I actually have never received flowers either.
02:54Like in that way, like I'm.
02:56Does anyone want to?
02:57Yeah.
02:58Here's my address.
02:59You grew up in New York City.
03:01That's crazy to me.
03:02I did.
03:03That's so crazy and so cool.
03:05It's crazy to me too.
03:06What, what was that like?
03:07It's just such an incredible experience to be able to be raised in one of the most expensive
03:12cities on the planet and to not have to worry about going home at night and like buying dinner.
03:18Like that's such a specific thing.
03:19But now that I'm an adult and like I work and like I'm in New York and I have to
03:23pay my own rent
03:24and I have all these responsibilities as an adult that when you're a child you just don't think about.
03:28To have it as a playground and to then come home and have like a safe space at home to
03:32go to
03:33and to have like your family there and to not have to like have financial worries in a city is
03:38a crazy privilege.
03:40Do you have any guilty pleasures when it comes to watching anything?
03:43You know, I don't feel guilty about watching things.
03:46That's the right answer.
03:47Honestly, like I love storytelling and I, and I love all forms of story.
03:52So it could be just like a really dumb video of, you know, something ridiculous happening.
03:57You know, like a mistake or it could be a big long movie or a miniseries or reality show.
04:03I mean, I think that storytelling is what I love.
04:07Creating is what I love and watching other people tell stories.
04:10I love it.
04:11So I don't, I don't feel guilty about any of my watches honestly.
04:13Oh my gosh. So my cup is made by this amazing woman on Instagram called the Crystal Ninja.
04:20And it's a bit of a spoiler because I don't think this is going to come out before the premiere
04:23tomorrow.
04:24I was fortunate enough to have Britney Spears dress and it's a dress that like defined my life.
04:31And this woman, Crystal Ninja, I was so excited about it because this dress has meant so much to me.
04:35And Britney has meant so much to me.
04:37Yeah.
04:37My whole life and you know, to be able to wear that dress at a moment when I'm playing a
04:43character that has meant so much to so many people, Lily,
04:47and to get to wear the dress of a woman who has meant so much to me my whole life
04:51is just so surreal.
04:52And so anyway, this woman, the Crystal Ninja made me a glass, a mug.
04:56And I felt crazy because I said, can you bring the crystal mug to someone with water?
05:00And people brought me like a crystal mug from room service.
05:03And I was like, oh, they think I'm crazy, but I meant the crystal mug.
05:06Okay.
05:07I need like a finale.
05:08I took one from here.
05:09Can I just introduce another color?
05:10I can't introduce another color.
05:11It's kind of pretty though.
05:12You guys can't ask me to do a creative activity and then ask me to reveal it and phone it
05:16in.
05:17Impossible.
05:18We've been watching each other arranged, but I haven't really looked at yours.
05:21So now I'm going to like, it's like the first look, like a wedding first look.
05:24You're like, I can't, I can't.
05:27You know what's amazing is that, no, that's so beautiful.
05:30Do you like it?
05:30No, no, it's beautiful.
05:31I'm really proud of it actually.
05:32It's like really like organic.
05:34The colors go together.
05:35And I love this flower.
05:36Actually, makeup artist Shayna today was talking to me about how this is her favorite flower.
05:40Like the brain flower.
05:41Yes.
05:41The brain flower.
05:41Yes.
05:42I love that.
05:43Let's show your, let's show your arrangement.
05:44How beautiful.
05:45And what's funny is that like yours is, has all the flowers that mine does, but mine is like,
05:51you know, got a little more.
05:52It looks like the like evolved version.
05:54Yeah.
05:54It's literally like baby.
05:56Young Lily and like older Lily and there's some more, you know, life experience there.
06:01Even the blues and stuff added on.
06:02Yeah.
06:02Cause I always like, I love asymmetry.
06:04I don't know how I have to say, you are able to stack your flower.
06:08So it like creates a shape.
06:10How do you do, like, I don't know how you do, but every single time you do.
06:13This is about where you like, you like lift, you like lift and pull and then you like add and
06:17fill it up.
06:18You make it look like it's like a staircase going up to the sky.
06:21It's the most beautiful thing.
06:22Thanks.
06:22That's nice.
06:23I just like asymmetry.
06:24So it looks amazing.
06:26We are selling our arrangement.
06:28Yeah.
06:29Please go see It Ends With Us in theaters now.
