00:00I guess the new album is entitled seven. It's seven ellipses so it's basically this is our
00:17seventh outing and we wanted to celebrate it actually a little bit more than the other ones
00:21and actually you know make note of it in the title. Seven is just a part of you know we were
00:27actually thinking about just doing a self-titled CD at first because a lot of times we have these
00:32titles and you know some people get it some people don't and it's like we're gonna make it real simple
00:36for people. We figured you know this is just we're just continuing our legacy and you know it's our
00:41seventh studio project full and we figured that would be a great name for it you know. Basically
00:47just kind of a celebration of the human spirit you know coming from the five of us. It's been quite a
00:54few years and at this point I think we're more than at any other point during our careers we're
01:01probably writing off actual experience. One person may come with an idea finished pretty much you know
01:10and may have stoked this thing on it and and help arrange it or something and so at some point we do
01:16pass the song you know anything and most most everything you hear coming from us has more than
01:21one one one more than one person has touched it. And we try to do it a few different ways so that we
01:28can uh you know get the creative juices flowing. What Make Conditions does is for the people who don't
01:34know um and if you want to check out what it is makeconditionmusic.com um we uh from all the branches
01:41of the tree of african-american music basically you know from you know you get tinges of you know gospel
01:47r&b rock and roll funk um the african rhythms and you know things like that all that all that's in
01:56there because I mean it's real diverse. Some of us listen to like world music and we love like different
02:03things and so there's going to be something on the record to just pop out at you that we haven't done
02:08before you know every probably every record you know it's going to be something to just pop out along
02:15with the things that you know people would would expect from us there's going to be something that's
02:20going to pop out. What's kept us together all this time we had a few core common goals one was to be
02:28the best we could be on the stage which I think is our strongest even to this day is probably our
02:33strongest commercial or advertisement. Another one was to stay in the business you know and be able to
02:40tour or or do shows maybe at a time where we don't have a cd out or if there's nothing to promote you
02:46know we're still able to go play a live show whether it's here or abroad and another thing I think we
02:53know how to stay apart too you know we know how to call it you know so we give each other that space
03:01you know and like we're the perfect antidote to each other and that's not just musically but even just
03:09uh with our personalities a couple of words to describe the complete interesting years fulfilling
03:16dynamic you know enrichment life learning just um grueling challenging very rewarding incredible
03:31blessing really kind of motivational because it makes like from the last 20 we're driven to keep going
03:38you know so something about those 20 years makes us still want to keep going today you know it's
03:45like we're looking forward to the future interesting maybe live in interesting times yeah we're feeling
03:53like right now we're we're back where we can make that that leap my name is jeffrey allen and this is
04:01lawrence what's up i'm rick from the south side of chicago i'm stubbly and we're in condition and you're
04:06in condition and you're watching essence tv
