00:00Hi, I'm senior beauty editor Tasha Turner, and today we are here behind the scenes at the April cover shoot for Think Like a Man.
00:10So today we focused on great makeup looks that we can go to work in, that we can play in, and we can have fun, but still be professional.
00:17With Taraji, we did looks, we wanted her to glow, not shine. That's always my mantra.
00:23So today we made sure that she had a fresh face, a professional-looking face, and as well as we added some great vibrant colors to her look.
00:32We gave her great color on her lips, nice, bold colors.
00:36That lip is everything. You, you know what.
00:39We went from everywhere, from orange to pink to fuchsia to nude.
00:45We covered the gamut, and it's to tell women that they can have fun with color, they can go to work in color, and they can still be professional.
00:53But, ready for day, and as well as night.
00:56I will never doubt this woman ever again. I fought her on the highlights.
01:01I turned my nose down at the highlights.
01:04I said they would be too ghetto.
01:07I was a little afraid.
01:08You were like, no, no, we're not enough.
01:10I don't want to take them out.
01:11I will never doubt you again.
01:13And then we had the lip, and the Shinta was like, no, no, it is textured.
01:17She was like, ah, I think you have one more in you.
01:19And then the Shinta popped a little dark in on the top of the pink, and mom, it is out.
01:24When you're wearing bold colors on your lips, you don't want to go crazy on your eyes.
01:29So, with Taraji, we just added a little mascara.
01:33We added a few lashes on her face.
01:35We gave her a hint of a smoky eye just on the corner, so it would not overpower her lip.
01:40When you go to work with a smoky eye, you don't want it to be harsh.
01:44But if you need a little something so it doesn't look like you just woke up or you're going to just your regular Saturday errands,
01:50you can put a little bit of that smoke on the edge of her eyes without it being overbearing.
01:55When you're wearing a bright color, for instance, like the aqua blue Burberry dress that Taraji was wearing today,
02:01we thought it would be great to pair it with a contrasting look.
02:04So, we thought the fuchsia look would be great.
02:06For that look, actually, we combined two great colors.
02:09We put pink at the base, and then we also paired that with a purple, and it created the fuchsia.
02:15So, we were not afraid to play with color today.
02:18This woman right here keeps her jaw forever.
