00:05okay someone says if i have mild symptoms should i just stay home the hospitals are overwhelmed
00:11or is it important that i go and get tested yes if you have mild symptoms stay at home now if you
00:18can in your own home you need to stay as far apart from everyone until you no longer have
00:26the symptoms maybe about 14 days again here follow the guidance of your local health department and of
00:33course the cdc but absolutely you should stay home of course stay well hydrated you can use tylenol
00:41for the fever but if you have mild symptoms please do stay home someone now says if i have been
00:51diagnosed with covet 19 after i recover will my family be safe after you recover and and we are
01:00still learning about this what is the safe period of time after you recover and we still have a little
01:05bit of learning to do on this most folks are saying maybe after no fever for 48 to 72 hours but here i
01:14would definitely follow the advice of your physician and follow that advice as to when it is safe then to
01:24go back out into the community and be around family you know we are learning pretty soon this is good news we
01:32will have the ability to test the blood to see if you have antibodies meaning you've already been infected
01:41and if you no longer have symptoms uh you are then recovered but we are still early in that and so i would
01:49encourage folks to stay attuned to the cdc recommendations regarding when you can go back after recovery
01:59the next question um once we beat this and i believe we will and we are immune how long will it
02:06last i'm worried this will just happen again next season well you know that is the worry and of
02:12course dr tony fauci at the nih is a long time respected leader on this and i just heard him talk
02:20yesterday about the possibility if this virus acts like other viruses it may decrease over the summer
02:29months but we cannot let down our guard if it acts like other viruses it will come back in the fall
02:37and so we will certainly have to keep our guard up as we get more information about this virus again that
02:43will that will uh really uh determine what our next steps are okay
