00:23half what what gives here why an afternoon game well it's happening right in the backyard of
00:28it should be happening right in my backyard but uh you know 12 inches of snow shuts down the south
00:32uh you know charlotte north carolina was not prepared for the 12 inches of snow that we got
00:37on saturday by the way not even you know yesterday saturday night uh still haven't recovered it still
00:42haven't dug out of it so they had to move things around on saturday when the spurs were in town
00:46they moved that game up helican same thing there's concerns about these teams who are flying private
00:51to get out of town safely they don't want to ruin anybody's time so uh that's the reason why there's
00:55a 3 p.m game you know people like us that are basketball junkies are going to take we're going
00:59to take it right there's just more time of the day to ignore our family and watch sports so um you
01:03know the hornets they're actually rolling right now six in a row right like you heard me right six
01:09in a row that hasn't happened since like the ps2 was uh was out and that's a very long time ago for
01:14you gamers out there so you know i think the hornets uh they found their stride lamola ball coming off
01:19the bench hasn't complained about it right like the star player coming off the bench that would normally
01:23be a storyline that would break teams that's actually helped the hornets because he's been
01:27able to kind of stay out of foul trouble and and play with that second unit and make them a little
01:31bit better and close games and he's playing healthy right like that no ball and health hasn't gone
01:37hand in hand all year or really in his career we're finally seeing that with the reduced minutes and the
01:43reduced load on him the hornets will beat the pelicans tonight or today rather uh when they roll in here
01:49because the pelicans aren't really interested in winning basketball games seems like the hornets are
01:53yeah definitely so uh okay so two teams going in two different directions houston has major
01:59aspirations of going deep into the western conference playoffs the pacers just want to end
02:04this season pacers getting six tonight total 219 and a half can you sell me on a pacers money line
02:11here gilbert any chance we get an upset tonight in the nba it's interesting because you know the pacers
02:17getting six that just means that the houston rockets are on this long road trip and they're coming
02:22into indiana and you know people expect them to not have their shooting legs well i i think the houston
02:27rockets prove that they can win any style of basketball game especially a rugged one and that's in form of
02:33their coach in ime udoka he likes these slow down rugged style of basketball games and while indiana is going
02:40to be playing a little bit better or going to have a little bit of a juice in their step with pascal
02:45being named an all-star i'm going to give me houston they'll be able to cover those six points
02:49minnesota seven and a half point favorites against the memphis grizzlies without john morant
02:56seven and a half is the number 229 and a half total 7 30 p.m eastern memphis is the subject of very hot
03:04trade rumors another team carlin that could move some players ahead of the trade deadline as you mentioned
03:09later this week and so what is the motivation here from these young grizzlies here can they keep this
03:15one close tonight against minnesota yeah they're already thinking about their all-star weekend planes
03:19right that's happening a week from now and they're already thinking about going on the beach on the
03:23flip side if you are minnesota you're trying to say to john morant who you know has said i don't want
03:29to be traded i like where i'm at etc etc it's all just wallpaper it doesn't really mean much but
03:34you're trying to show john morant hey if you want to actually come compete on a team that's really good
03:38just tell the front office to make a trade and send you up to minnesota like we got a really good
03:43team here with rudy gobert and anthony edwards we're just missing one ingredient and that could
03:48be you so minnesota i think their size will take advantage of this in this one and and that's what
03:54we'll get it done but overall i just look for anthony edwards maybe whispering in john morant's here

04:28well and maxi playing well absolutely with a chance to pull off this mini upset tonight in la how do you see

04:38could just go out and play basketball but anyway you have a philly team that i think of the last
04:42time i was on with you i said watch out for philly they're slowly starting to figure it out they're
04:47getting healthy at the right time and they're gelling together now that's all thrown out the
04:51window because of this paul george mess so you know philly's one of those teams that i i really
04:55am not sure what to make of when they're not healthy but when they are healthy i think they're one of
05:01the scariest teams in the eastern conference i think in this specific game though anytime i can
05:05get philly you know playing on the road or joel and be playing in a basketball game i'm going to
05:10lean towards him because he likes to kind of show up in these marquee games on on a monday night so

05:50gotta move him now they gotta do it and i and i sort of i'm getting the sense that people want this
05:54move just to be able to talk about it why would the bucks trade him this minute carlin why
05:58wouldn't they just wait i mean the guy's not even healthy they're not playing well why wouldn't they
06:02wait till the end of the season open up this box to every team in the nba as opposed to these
06:07two or three teams that could potentially make a move i don't get this one i think it's fair of loss
06:12i really do i think if you had a gm whose back is against the wall who knows he needs to perform in
06:18the postseason and you're thinking about windows closing windows of opportunity closing in golden state
06:23miami some of the places that he's been rumored to and you think about those gms that are like pat
06:28riley he's not going to be around forever right like he wants to build one more championship team
06:32you can get that done now and getting honest in the door earlier rather than later you could then
06:38worry about building a team around him in the offseason with the remaining parts that you do have
06:42thinking about the offseason so far away there's so much basketball to be played in a wide open eastern
06:49conference that's the biggest thing that i think that will for miami they have to think about like
06:53they're not too far off they are yannis at the decumbo away from being one of the top teams in the
06:58conference so if i'm miami i make the trade and if i'm going to state i say steph curry's time is ticking
