00:00Our powerful bomb cyclone is now leaving the East Coast.
00:04Millions, though, are waking up in the Carolinas and even in eastern Tennessee with snow on the ground.
00:12This did resemble a blizzard across the eastern Carolinas last night.
00:16But as I said, the storm is now moving out.
00:20Thank goodness.
00:21Snow intensified last night, though, shutting down roads with about 750 crashes reported in North Carolina.
00:26That's according to state chirpers, including the crash that you were just talking about.
00:30Now, we caught up with North Carolina residents about this latest storm.
00:35Last weekend, the same thing happened.
00:37And it's actually crazy.
00:39I'm surprised to see this many people on the road, really, especially for people who don't get this on a regular.
00:47New this morning, we have an update on the staggering costs from these back to back winter storms and the extreme cold impacting much of the eastern half of the country.
00:56AccuWeather experts just issued a new preliminary estimate of total damage and economic loss for this bomb cyclone and the extreme cold surging as far south as Florida at 13 billion to 15 billion dollars.
01:13Now, this new preliminary estimate considers the travel impacts and thousands of flights that have been canceled, damage and cleanup costs, business disruptions, as well as the growing concern for frost and freeze damage to citrus and other crops across Florida.
01:25This is the second multi-billion dollar weather disaster in the United States in just the past week.
01:31AccuWeather experts estimate the total damage and economic loss from last weekend's massive snow and ice storm at 105 to 115 billion dollars.
