00:00Let's get started.
00:30All right now, so are we back from our 15-minute twirl?
00:36Yes, okay, just, nah, yeah.
00:37Did anybody get a tooth gem?
00:39That's what I want to know.
00:40Anybody?
00:41Can I see it?
00:42Smile.
00:43Ting, ting, ting.
00:45I know that's right.
00:46That is so unique.
00:47I love that.
00:48Okay, so welcome on back.
00:51And this next panel is going to be super fire.
00:54It's a part of a new Girls United franchise called Partner in Crime.
00:58Y'all say Partner in Crime.
01:00Yeah, good.
01:01Bonnie and Bonnie.
01:03Yeah, love that.
01:04Love that because nobody's going to have your back like your girl.
01:08The Partner in Crime.
01:10Oh, actually, you know what?
01:10I made that up.
01:12I made it up.
01:13That's what editing is for.
01:14Hold on.
01:16Partner in Crime.
01:17I'm like, crime, yeah, the hood coming out, you know, half holy, half hood.
01:24But the Partner in Crime franchise highlights and celebrates best friends and sisters who successfully get the bag together.
01:33We love some queens that can link up and get to it, don't we?
01:36Yeah, not.
01:37Yeah, exactly.
01:38So here to introduce today's Partner in Crime panel, please welcome to the stage Essence Girls United co-founders and real-life sisters.
01:48Okay, what if you just say real sisters, okay?
01:51Rachelle, Rochelle, and Sophia Dennis.
01:55Hello.
02:09Can you guys hear me?
02:11How are y'all doing today?
02:14All right, I do need it to be a little bit louder.
02:16You know I love energy.
02:17I feed off of it.
02:18How are we doing today?
02:21Let's go.
02:22All right, so for those who missed my introduction earlier, I am the co-creator of Essence Girls United.
02:30And our franchise, Partner in Crime, is really about, first of all, how many people are here with their sisters?
02:36Okay.
02:38How about your best friend or your line sister?
02:41Okay.
02:42So this conversation is all about how you and your sister or your partner in prime really level up together.
02:49You know, we hear about how we should be networking with our peers and how we should really be helping, you know, each other and helping our sisters.
02:58And that's what this conversation is about.
03:00How you guys together can help each other get to the next level.
03:04So, Sophia?
03:05Yes, I am Sophia, or Fia Dennis, I go by many names and nicknames.
03:10Also co-founder of Essence Girls United.
03:13I'm super excited to be here gracing the stage with my sister and some awesome sisters that are going to join us shortly.
03:21I'm so excited to be here.
03:23And I think we should start to talk a little bit about sisterhood and business and what it really means to build something with the people in your family and the people that you care the most about.
03:34Yeah.
03:35So as Sophia mentioned, sister, sister, sister, sister is what this is about to be.
03:40So we are going to check in with two more sisters who also happen to be successful entrepreneurs and content creators.
03:48So not only do they have fun together, but they also get to the bag together.
03:52And I got to tell you, we are super, super excited to have these specific sisters with us today.
03:57So, drum roll.
04:02Please join us in welcoming founder and CEO of Forever Unbothered streetwear brand, Jody Woods.
04:11Woo!
04:14And founder and CEO of Woods by Jordan, Jordan Woods.
04:19Give it up for the Woods sisters.
04:21Let's give it up for these outfits.
04:23Y'all look amazing.
04:23Look at this.
04:24Look at the fashion.
04:25Amazing.
04:25I heard we were twirling, so I want you guys to do a little something, a little twirl.
04:30A twirl?
04:32Ooh!
04:33Just almost knocked them.
04:37Yes, Fitz.
04:39Okay.
04:40Hey, y'all.
04:41Hello.
04:42Yes.
04:42We are so excited to have you guys here.
04:45When you guys first sat down, you were like, oh, my God, you guys look so much alike to Rochelle and I.
04:50And I was like, wait, you guys look so much alike.
04:52It's so crazy, like, looking so much alike so many years apart from each other.
04:57Yeah.
04:57And you guys are 10 years apart, right?
04:59You still seem to be very, very close.
05:03We're actually a little bit closer in age than you guys.
05:05We're about four or five years apart.
05:07But I would definitely love to know a little bit about how your relationship growing up together worked out and how you were able to translate that into learning from each other and building businesses and developing your career goals as young women.
05:20Yeah, I feel like starting out, you know, an almost 10-year age gap, there's a lot of separation.
05:28And then as you get older, you get closer, and the gap gets less and less.
05:32And then, you know, once she's 21, it's going to feel like she's the same age as me, hopefully.
05:37I'm sorry.
05:38I feel like I can't adapt with the younger generation.
05:40Oh, my gosh.
05:41This younger generation?
05:42I'm the oldest.
05:42So it's like I'm looking at her, and I'm like, what are you talking about?
05:46Like, what's going on?
05:46Yeah, I'm like, wait, what word is that?
05:47I didn't even hear that one.
05:48I love having Jordan because, like, I realize now I'm going through the same issues she was going through at my age.
05:53So she's really the blueprint for me.
05:55She always gives me good advice.
05:57That's awesome.
05:58That's awesome.
05:59Do I give you great advice, Sophia?
06:00I think so.
06:01I think so.
06:02I think also, like, we're a little bit closer.
06:05So I think that, you know, and I'm also somebody who, I don't know, I, like, kind of, like, march to the beat of my own drum.
06:11So I feel like the things that I'm, like, yeah, the things that I'm, like, interested in, the things that I'm going through are, like, they're just a little bit different.
06:19Yeah.
06:19I think it's because I think I'm a little bit more reserved, and you're more, like, outgoing, but then at some point it flips.
06:25I don't know if you guys, like, kind of take on.
06:27Yeah, it's the same with us.
06:27I feel like it just depends on the day.
06:29Yeah.
06:29Now Jodi's the one, like, pulling me outside.
06:31Before, I was like, I'm out.
06:33I'm not home.
06:34I'm doing whatever.
06:35Now I'm, like, a homebody.
06:37And she's like, let's go out.
06:38Stop being lame.
06:39I'm like, okay, fine.
06:40I'll do it just for you.
06:41I love it.
06:43So as sisters who grew up together, what are the earliest life lessons you remember learning that influenced the way you guys approach your careers and your goals and just being young women today?
06:52I think that it's hard because of the age gap, so I get to experience a lot of things first and kind of give her that life advice, like, okay, this was my experience.
07:04But as an older sister, I don't want to – I'm not your parent, you know?
07:07Yeah.
07:07I want to give you advice, but not in a way like, don't do this, or I'm judging you.
07:11I just want to give you loving advice.
07:13And just in general, you should – when someone comes to you, you should give them the ability to make their own decisions, but just give them your experience.
07:22And hopefully they can learn from that rather than giving them controlling advice, telling them not to do something.
07:26Because I know when I was younger, when someone would tell me, don't do this, I'm going to do that.
07:32Like, honestly, I'm the opposite.
07:33If Jordan tells me not to do it, I'm not doing it because she's always right.
07:36She always ends up being right.
07:37Like, every time I go against her word, God help me.
07:43Yeah, Sophia will just not listen to me.
07:44She'll be like, yeah, okay, whatever.
07:46And I'll be like, oh, damn, all right.
07:47I also don't think that – I don't think enough before I act to even ask an opinion of whether or not I should do something.
07:53I just tend to already be in the motion of doing it before I even think, oh, maybe I should have asked if this was the right thing to do or not.
07:59Sometimes it'd be like that, and you have to do that because everything's a learning experience.
08:03Yes.
08:03That's just part of your journey.
08:05Yes.
08:05I'm a trial and error.
08:06I feel like I never learned something or got stronger or wiser by making the right decision.
08:12Like, I had to mess up to learn what not to do.
08:15Yeah.
08:15I think sometimes you learn so much from learning what not to do as opposed to learning what to do because if you learn what to do, then you know – you just know how to do something.
08:23You never learn why something doesn't work out or why doing a certain thing doesn't lead to the result that you want.
08:29So sometimes learning what not to do can really enrich you and give you a lot of the tools that you need to be successful.
08:34Right.
08:34I just take everything as a learning experience.
08:38Yeah.
08:38And that was one of the biggest lessons, like, learning and, like, even seeing, like, other siblings and whatnot and even, like, communities of people that were really strong, right, and had strong relationships with their friends was –
08:49they would know information and be able to, like, pass it on to, like, their brothers in, like, younger grades or sisters in their younger grades.
08:57And so they would go – like, even, like, college applications, right?
09:00Like, you don't know until, like, you know, somebody else has done it before you or when you're talking and you're having something and you're trying to figure something out, you don't know unless somebody else has gone through it or experienced it.
09:12So that's why I think, like, sisterhood is just so important and so needed.
09:17And I think it's something that doesn't get talked about.
09:19We talk about relationships so much, but the relationships that are your sisterly relationships, I think, are the most valuable because those are forever.
09:26Yeah.
09:26In life, I feel like being teachable is everything.
09:29Like, thinking that you know it all is where you mess up.
09:33Yes.
09:33Yeah.
09:33Absolutely.
09:34Yeah, I don't know what I do without my sisters.
09:36Sisters also don't mean blood.
09:38It could be your friends, your peers, whoever, but, like, sisterhood is so important, and the older I get, I'm like, okay, you can have a million friends you go out and party with, but when shit gets tough, who's really there for you?
09:50Who's showing up?
09:51Those are your sisters.
09:52Those are your peers.
09:53And it takes a village.
09:55It definitely does.
09:56So you can't do anything really by yourself.
09:58As much as you want to be independent and, like, be like, I did this all on my own, you can only go so far by yourself.
10:04That's very, very true.
10:06If you want to go fast, go alone.
10:08If you want to go far, go with somebody else as well.
10:12Yeah, it takes a village.
10:13Absolutely.
10:14So speaking of it taking a village, I'm sure growing up and using social media and being content creators, you have definitely had moments in which, you know, you're online and you're promoting different products and you've built up an online persona.
10:29I'm sure there have been different instances in which you've had to find who you are as an individual and determine what your identity is.
10:37Especially for you, Jodi, being younger, how have you been able to build a community online while still being very strong within your individual identity?
10:46Honestly, I really am just myself and I feel like that's why people love me.
10:51Like, even though everyone's like, you and Jordan look the same, everyone knows my personality is, like, very bold and we're very different.
10:58We're the same but different at the same time.
11:00So really just be yourself.
11:02I don't let people talk fear into my plans, you know?
11:06Yeah, yeah.
11:06I feel like we're, like, the same across the table.
11:10Yeah.
11:11No, that's like an older sister thing.
11:13I don't know.
11:14Yeah, because I think, like, me and Sophia, like, she's definitely more out there.
11:18I'm, like, more reserved.
11:20Like, I think it was somebody was just telling me, like, if Sophia had a little bit more of you and if you had a little bit more Sophia, that would just make all the difference.
11:28And I was like, you know what?
11:29I never thought of it like that.
11:31But it's kind of.
11:31But it's all about the balance.
11:32But it's the balance.
11:33It's the yin to the yang.
11:34Yes, exactly.
11:35And like you said, individual but the same.
11:38Yeah, no, I feel like people really struggle with identity, though.
11:41It's okay to not be, like, so sure of yourself at some times.
11:44Like, I feel like as human beings, we're always trying to figure out who we are, where we belong, and try to figure out where we're going with our life.
11:53Because even me, I feel like I have a plan.
11:55And when you make plans, God laughs.
11:58So things always change.
12:01But I always tell myself, life doesn't happen to you.
12:04It happens for you.
12:05Yes.
12:06Yeah, I feel like what really keeps us going is, like, knowing that our plan is already written.
12:11So everything that's a part of the journey, it's happening for a reason.
12:15I love it.
12:16So you both have your own clothing lines.
12:18So you both have them, but they're also very different.
12:22Can you tell us a little bit about your lines, how you each came up with them, and how you guys also support each other as entrepreneurs?
12:29I'm really, like, the streetwear girly.
12:31Yes, I dress girly, but on the day today, I really dress like a boy.
12:35This bit is fire.
12:37I was about to say, this tie is amazing.
12:39Yeah, it's kind of like a boy type of vibe, girly to twist, you know.
12:44Yeah.
12:44But I love streetwear.
12:46That's, like, my favorite thing ever.
12:48So I just wanted to make something that made people feel comfortable, that was cozy, that was fly.
12:53And I have a lot more coming.
12:54I'm excited for people to see it.
12:57Yeah, for me, I feel like I was in my awkward stage up until maybe a couple years ago.
13:02I grew up always being kind of a bigger girl, not really being able to wear the trendy, cute clothes, finding clothes that fit me properly at the quality and styles that I wanted.
13:14Yeah.
13:14And so that's a lot of my inspiration in building my brand is just making quality clothing affordable pricing but very inclusive for all body types, whether you're small, large, somewhere in between.
13:28I just want to cater to, you know, those people out there where they feel like they can't find that piece.
13:34And I really focus on the quality and the fit.
13:36So it takes me a lot of time.
13:38I'm getting impatient.
13:40But that was really where I found my inspiration in starting my brand.
13:44That's so cool.
13:45Those dresses hit different.
13:46I don't know what she put in them, but they snatch you.
13:48It's like sisterhood of the traveling dress because it looks bomb on everyone.
13:52Yeah, I feel like we just like making things that everyone could wear and everyone could feel comfortable and beautiful in.
13:58Yeah.
13:58So this is not a question on the note cards, but when we were backstage, I saw you guys interacting with your mom and talking about how, you know, you grew up being in different business meetings and how she's really been, you know, such a pillar for, you know, this entrepreneurial mindset that both of you guys have.
14:14I would love to know how growing up with such a strong mother in such an amazing industry has influenced both of you guys in your decisions to start your brands.
14:24Honestly, our mother is like everything to us.
14:27We bring her everywhere.
14:28She's always involved and she's just so strong.
14:32And from super, super young, she was bringing me to meetings.
14:36Like I just admire her work ethic and I always consider her in every decision that I make.
14:41And she gives us a lot of good advice too.
14:44Yeah, I feel like we've been through so many phases in our life, but somehow she always figures it out.
14:49Sometimes I'm like, I don't know how you pulled this off, but you did.
14:52And so her resilience is really admirable.
14:56And I feel like you have to have resilience in this industry and just in anything that you do.
15:01So seeing someone just push through adversity or anything that may come was really inspiring to me.
15:06And honestly, through everything I've gone through in my life, I don't know what I would do without my mom, my family.
15:11Like, they're probably the reason I'm still here.
15:12Don't let anyone play with her.
15:14We love your mom, by the way.
15:19She don't let anyone play with us and she don't let anyone play with her.
15:24And that's the reason we are the way we are today.
15:27I love that.
15:27But everyone thinks she's our sister.
15:29Oh, no, she definitely has a third sister.
15:31Do you want to come up on stage?
15:34I mean, you didn't tell you it was three sisters.
15:38We'll do that next year.
15:39Same time, same place next year.
15:42It's so amazing.
15:43I just want to give you all the flowers.
15:46Yes.
15:47And moms are so important.
15:49So, you know, one thing that my mom always told us was at the end of the day, no matter what, the only person that you will have is your sister.
15:57So what are some things that your mom did to like, we know that you guys probably when you were little got into like, you know, got into a little bit.
16:04Like, I know me and Sophia still kind of get into it a little bit.
16:06But what did she instill in you guys that, you know, really helped you guys also see each other, whether you guys had differences or anything?
16:13I mean, funny thing is, Jordan and I never argue.
16:17Like, we really rarely ever argue.
16:20Like, maybe we'll argue about little things if I, like, stole a shirt or something.
16:24But if I ask her, she's like, Jordan, you could wear it.
16:26Yeah, it'll always be her favorite thing somehow.
16:28We always like the same things.
16:32But we never really argue with each other.
16:34I feel like we just understand each other because we're so alike.
16:37Yeah.
16:38And we've been through so much as a family.
16:40So at this point, we just kind of know how to operate when each other are going through things.
16:46Like, we know when to leave each other alone.
16:48We know when to be there for each other.
16:51I feel like I'm more of the dramatic sister and Jordan always calms me down.
16:54She's like, Jody, it's okay.
16:55You'll be fine.
16:56And, like, I don't know what I would do without her.
16:59Aw.
16:59I'm going to cry.
17:01Yeah, no, I feel like we, when we were younger, I think the biggest argument would be, like,
17:05she wants to sleep in my bed with me or something.
17:07Yep.
17:07Like, no, I need my space.
17:08Like, other than that, we are, like she said, so different but so similar.
17:13I feel like I always try to think of what that other person is going through.
17:18And normally, nothing is ever personal.
17:21Like, just in any situation.
17:22We all take things so personal.
17:24And at the end of the day, everyone's battling with something within themselves.
17:28Yeah.
17:28So just try to, like, give people grace.
17:30Give them space.
17:32And don't take it personal.
17:33Yeah, what I admire about Jordan is she's very selfless.
17:36She looks at things from many perspectives.
17:39And she really taught me that because in life, a lot of times I feel like people are self-projecting
17:45just how they feel inside.
17:46So you can't even take things personal.
17:49Absolutely.
17:50A hundred percent agree.
17:51And I think at this current state of the world, the greatest gift that you can give somebody
17:56is grace.
17:57Like, sometimes people are just going through it.
17:59They need a moment.
18:00For sure.
18:01And acting out of character because of what they're going through.
18:03Absolutely.
18:04Sophia, I have a question for you.
18:06Who's the most dramatic out of us?
18:08Oh, gosh.
18:08So we have two other sisters.
18:10We have one older one and a younger one who's actually 10 years younger than me.
18:15I would say maybe Julian.
18:18But I mean out of us two.
18:19Oh, out of us two.
18:20Okay.
18:21I would say, I think it's her.
18:22But...
18:23Am I dramatic?
18:24I think so.
18:27Maybe.
18:28Maybe I'm dramatic.
18:29I think I'm just like a very expressive person.
18:32Me too.
18:32Like I talk with my hands and I talk loud and I talk nonstop and I just don't shut up.
18:36So I think I'm like, I'm dramatic about anything just because everything excites me.
18:41No, honestly, me too.
18:42Like sometimes it'll be my tone and Jordan will be like, Jody, calm down.
18:46Like, okay.
18:47I'm like, why do you have an attitude?
18:48She's like, I don't.
18:48That's how I talk.
18:50I'm like, okay.
18:51Whatever.
18:51So me and my sister actually built Girls United together and the brand.
18:57So it's been great working with each other and like learning each other's working styles
19:02has been, you know, we've come through it and I think I know her strengths and her weaknesses
19:08and she knows my strengths and my weaknesses and we balance out each other so well and that's
19:13what has allowed us to continue to build and work on what we're working.
19:16So what was the last project you guys worked on together and what was it like?
19:21Ooh, what was the last project we worked on together?
19:25Well, last night we accepted an award together.
19:28Congratulations.
19:29Okay.
19:29What was the award?
19:30My sister's keeper award.
19:32Oh, that's a great award.
19:33My sister do.
19:34Yeah.
19:35Yeah.
19:35It was very surreal for us because Jordan and I really just are ourselves.
19:40So it's so cool, like getting to win an award for just being sisters and being us and putting
19:45hard work in.
19:46Like, that's so amazing.
19:47I feel like people organically are like, oh, they do so much business together.
19:51Cause we're always together.
19:52We're both working individually a lot, but we have a lot of things we're working on behind
19:57the scenes collectively.
19:59So I feel like we haven't really necessarily started any businesses together, but we both
20:04see each other in action.
20:06Um, and we're very involved in what each other are doing.
20:09Like we're always asking each other for advice on every project.
20:14Cause you guys just did like a photo shoot together.
20:16The fire and ice.
20:17Was that for Halloween?
20:18It was.
20:19I loved it.
20:20Yeah.
20:20We just wanted to do something fun.
20:21I feel like we never do like that many photo shoots together.
20:24So that was super cool.
20:27Speaking of fun.
20:28And once again, I'm not reading off the question cards because I'm a little bit rebellious.
20:33You see a wild card right here.
20:35She's the dramatic one.
20:36We love rebellious.
20:36I would love to know if you guys could give us and the audience, maybe your top three beauty
20:42tricks or hacks or life tricks or hacks, just things that you've been really enjoying
20:46recently.
20:47Um, one, obviously the Jodi Wood's Mac lip combo.
20:51Go buy it.
20:51Pull out your phone.
20:52Can't look without it.
20:53Um, ooh, I'm trying to think of another one.
21:01I feel like Jodi's more of a glam girl.
21:02I'm more of like a soft glam girl, but you're still soft glam.
21:07Yeah.
21:07She's just a little bit more edgy.
21:09Um, you couldn't tell by today's look though.
21:12Um, I don't know.
21:14I feel like my, one of my Holy Grail products is Aquaphor.
21:18I'm like, I'm putting that on.
21:20That's one of the ones.
21:20That's chopped lips, elbows, face, whatever.
21:23A little ash.
21:24Yeah.
21:25He's in for Aquaphor.
21:26It's just Aquaphor is, is everything.
21:29Yeah.
21:29One thing I really can't live without is bronzer.
21:32I love it.
21:33I don't know.
21:33I love looking nice and tan, especially cause I get very pale in the winter.
21:37Like I can't do my makeup without bronzer.
21:40And I really like, um, cream highlighter actually.
21:43I love cream.
21:44Just for that more like skin effect.
21:47What else?
21:48What else are my beauty trends right now?
21:51I don't know.
21:52I'm on this like hair journey cause I bleached my hair.
21:55And so I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do with it right now.
21:58Um, so if any of you in the crowd have any advice on how I can grow my hair, let me know
22:03the secrets.
22:04Yeah.
22:04What's like a hairstyle that you're really liking right now?
22:07Honestly, these braids.
22:08Oh, those are good.
22:08I love the braids.
22:09I got addicted to wigs when we went to fashion week.
22:12I never do wigs.
22:13Um, but I'm so over the glue.
22:15I just hate that.
22:16And when I like like the natural look, I like my edges.
22:19So I'm just on my braid natural vibe right now.
22:22I think I'm going to keep this up.
22:23You can never go wrong with braids.
22:24But Jordan always makes fun of me because I cannot keep a style in.
22:28Oh, that's me.
22:28Like I will get box braids, sit there for 10 hours, keep them in for a week and be like,
22:32all right, I'm done.
22:33Like I took pictures.
22:35Let's wrap it up.
22:35Yeah.
22:36That's me.
22:36If I'm sitting there, I'm going to keep them for as long as I feel.
22:39Me too.
22:39Until they start falling out and they've got a little growth.
22:43Y'all see the parallel?
22:43Yeah.
22:43I'm trying to be that girly.
22:45I'm really trying, guys.
22:46She, in the, earlier when she got the braid, she's like, I think I'm a braid girl now.
22:50Like, I'm going to just keep, I'm like, be real.
22:52Until tomorrow.
22:54I'm like, be fucking for real.
22:55You're going to be like.
22:55Until next week.
22:56They'll probably be gone next week.
22:57She's going to be like, I did the event and then I took photos and like, I just,
23:01Now I need a wig.
23:02I just feel ugly now.
23:04Like, I need something new.
23:05You know what it is?
23:06It's about being like a new person every single time.
23:09No, I love that.
23:10Once you get your hair done.
23:10DMX challenge.
23:11Yep.
23:11Once, once, exactly.
23:13Once I get my hair done, I just feel like a brand new person.
23:16Yeah.
23:17And I love when you get to like actually scratch your scalp.
23:20Like that's the top side and greatest handling world.
23:22And also my hair is like really thick and it was super long.
23:26I started doing tape-ins.
23:27My hair started coming out.
23:29So I'm just growing it back right now.
23:32Yeah.
23:32I had that tape-in issue.
23:33I'm like currently flirting with getting a silk press and getting my hair straightened.
23:37But I'm like-
23:38I actually recently just did that.
23:39Actually in that photo right there, I had my natural hair.
23:42I just ironed it myself.
23:43Oh, it is so cute.
23:45It's so good.
23:46Honestly, people don't talk about how much more work it is being natural.
23:50Mm-hmm.
23:51And like having to work curly hair.
23:53They're like, oh.
23:54So much work.
23:55Wash and go can relate.
23:56Yeah.
23:56It's not.
23:57It cannot.
23:58Even like to do this little slick back, I've been in the back putting so much gel on it
24:03because I've been like-
24:04Oh yeah, my hair never wants to lay down.
24:06Okay.
24:06So I've recently been on-
24:09This is not what we're talking about.
24:10But I've recently been on like this journey of only doing wash and goes.
24:13And believe it or not, if you get the right products and you style it properly, it's easier.
24:18It took me less than like three minutes to do my hair today.
24:20So how did you find the right product?
24:22I just define my curls.
24:23Keep it for a few days.
24:25TikTok is everything.
24:26Whenever I need an answer, I'm like, what's Google?
24:29I'm going to go to TikTok.
24:30Yeah.
24:30If I'm doing that whole wash and go, I'm defining my curls, keeping it for a few days,
24:35then it'll probably be in a bun or something.
24:36I don't know.
24:37I can't do that.
24:37It's like, if I'm washing it, I'm slicking it down.
24:40That's it.
24:40Like, I can't, I don't know how to do it.
24:42I try and get Jordan to wear her hair out all the time.
24:44Y'all, please tell her to wear her natural hair out.
24:46Please.
24:47I need to get-
24:48We found your next hairstyle.
24:49We can exchange some product recommendations.
24:53Okay.
24:53So what was like, how did you guys each influence each other, right?
24:57Like, Jodi, what was Jordan's biggest influence on you?
25:00And Jordan, what was your biggest, or what was Jodi's biggest influence on you?
25:05Honestly, really everything she does.
25:07I'm not going to lie.
25:07Like, Jordan's just really that girl in all aspects and not even, like, talking about materialistic things.
25:13Like, she just has a heart of gold.
25:15And the way that she carries herself is just so admirable.
25:19Like, to know her is to love her.
25:20And she really taught me how to be selfless and to be just extremely grateful and unapologetically me.
25:29Like, ever since I was super young, even if Jordan wasn't the most confident, she would always embrace herself and walk with her head high.
25:37So she really just taught me kind of, like, not how to be myself because I was always me, but she just inspired me to not let anyone, like, play with me or talk fears into my plans, you know?
25:50Yeah, I wish I was as strong as Jodi is at her age.
25:54When I was her age, also, I did not look as beautiful as she looks.
25:59But Jodi is a Capricorn.
26:01She's very, goes...
26:02Me too!
26:03Okay, now I get it.
26:04Okay, now I get it.
26:05What's your birthday?
26:06January 6th.
26:07I'm the 14th.
26:09Wait, what are you?
26:10Capricorns are winning.
26:11I'm a Cancer.
26:12See, y'all, y'all show me that much love.
26:16There must be some Libras in here.
26:19Period.
26:20Okay, yeah.
26:20Any Cancer?
26:21Actually, I love it.
26:22I love it.
26:22No, I love Libras, though.
26:24I really love Libras.
26:25No, but she's a Capricorn, so she goes really hard for the people she loves.
26:29She loves hard.
26:30She doesn't play about her people.
26:32Jodi will fight anyone for me.
26:34I swear.
26:35Puss anyone out.
26:38But she just, she has the vision.
26:40She had the vision from a young age.
26:41She was always carrying around a lip gloss, even when she was.
26:44Always.
26:45What, one?
26:46Mm-hmm.
26:47Oh, wow.
26:47A purse, lip gloss, and a cell phone.
26:49I think she might have stole my pink razor when I didn't use it anymore, and she would
26:53just keep that in her bag.
26:54So she's always been about her makeup, her glam, her people, and.
26:59Yeah, I would change my outfit like five times a day.
27:03I would change my outfit all the time.
27:04Five?
27:04Yeah, I swear.
27:05Like, people come over, I'd be like, I need to change my outfit.
27:09Yeah, but no, I love having a little sister.
27:10I grew up, we also have two brothers, so I was the only girl for a while, and so nice
27:16having a little sister.
27:17Right, like, Jordan will be like, um, Jodi, I have a bunch of errands to run today.
27:21You want to come with me?
27:22I'm like, sure, why not?
27:24I'm coming.
27:25Oh, that's so cute.
27:27I don't think, we don't have much time left, but I think it would be really great if you
27:30guys could describe each other in two words.
27:32Ooh, honestly, unapologetic.
27:37Like, I'd be way more in my head than Jordan is.
27:40She'll be like, Jodi, just post it.
27:41I'll be like, no, I look crazy.
27:44Like, I just love how Jordan's just really her.
27:47Like, she's just such an unapologetic, selfless person.
27:49Hmm, I think Jodi is-
27:53Fiery.
27:55Is spicy.
27:56She's fierce, um, and she's passionate.
28:03When she has a vision, she really knows what she wants, and I can admire that, because I
28:08can be pretty indecisive sometimes.
28:10Yeah, I really, I really stick to the plan.
28:12I don't let anyone, like, throw me off.
28:15If she wants it, she's going to get it.
28:16That's awesome.
28:17Um, yes.
28:19Yeah, and so, Jordan and Jodi, thank you so much for joining us to share your experiences.
28:25It was great to talk to another person.
28:26Amazing.
28:27Yes.
28:29But before we go-
28:29Congratulations to you guys, too.
28:31This is so amazing.
28:31Yeah, this is-
28:32Yeah.
28:33This is amazing.
28:33I just love powerful women, period.
28:36Like, I feel like I'm at home right now.
28:38I love y'all.
28:39Yeah, and these are such important conversations, because, you know, I think we over-
28:43or we give too much power to other types of relationships, right?
28:46Like, like, men, or like, whatever it may be, but sister relationships, where it really
28:51is about making sure that you guys are always good, no matter what.
28:56Yes.
28:56At the end of the day, I'm sure, as y'all know, like, when you go through things, it's like,
29:00the person you're calling is your sister and your family.
29:04So, you really got to prioritize your family.
29:06Family's all you got, for real.
29:08And so, please let everybody know what you have coming up next, where to find you on
29:12social media.
29:14Yes.
29:14We got a lot coming, y'all.
29:16I know.
29:16The way you look at her, I could tell.
29:18Just wait on it.
29:19Yeah, no, there's a lot coming, but more clothes, hopefully soon.
29:25My social media is my name, Jordan Woods, on pretty much every platform.
29:30Yeah, same.
29:31And, yeah, I don't want to, you know, when you share your plans too early.
29:35More products, wink, wink.
29:38Yes.
29:39More things.
29:39We're very excited about that.
29:42And there's more, I'm just going to be in more spaces than you think.
29:47I'll leave it at that.
29:48Okay.
29:49Y'all heard that.
29:50Y'all heard it here first.
29:50Keep your eyes peeled.
29:52Keep your eyes peeled.
29:53Y'all got many things on the horizon.
29:55Maybe some music.
29:57Maybe some music.
29:58Maybe some YouTube.
30:00Ooh.
30:01Maybe.
30:01I guess you guys will have to see.
30:03Hopefully soon.
30:05We're very excited about that.
30:06Clap it up, everybody.
30:09Thank you so much.
30:15These mics are so, like, awkward.
