00:00Robert Sala, interesting one here.
00:01He goes to Tennessee.
00:03Brian Dable's going to be the offensive coordinator, Joe.
00:05But I watched the press conference this week for Sala, and I do agree with it.
00:08When you get that second go around as head coach,
00:10you want to make sure that it's going to be on you,
00:12and this might be your last chance that you're ever going to get a head coaching job
00:14if you don't succeed.
00:16He says, when I was with the Jets, I was more of a CEO coach,
00:19wasn't invested there, wasn't calling the defensive plays or the offensive plays,
00:22which is fine, which a lot of coaches do.
00:24He says, Joe, he's going to call the defensive plays
00:25being the head coach of the Tennessee Titans.
00:27And I think that's good for this team.
00:30You know, defensively, they are legit.
00:32That front seven, very difficult to run on, led by Jeffrey Simmons.
00:36And when you just look at the offense, if Dable can obviously channel that,
00:42and really they could put some playmakers, that is the biggest question.
00:45Can they put playmakers around Cam Ward and surround him
00:48with legitimate wide receiver help?
00:50If so, they're going to be okay.
00:51Again, is Tennessee and Sala going to all of a sudden turn it around
00:55to a 14-win season the way Vrabel had them in number one seed
00:59against Barrow?
01:00No, not in year one.
01:01But I don't think it's a bad hire.
01:03Again, Sala calling the defensive side of the ball.
01:06And Dable is a better coordinator than he is a head coach.
01:10Look, you can't.
01:11Brian Dable should just concentrate on offense.
01:15He was 20 and 40 as a head coach.
01:17Just concentrate on elevating Cam Ward.
01:20Callahan and that staff did Cam Ward rotten.
01:22I'm sorry.
01:23The fact that they didn't develop him and get him ready for year number two
01:27was a total travesty to that organization.
01:31Keep it in the AFC, Joe.
01:32We take a look at the Buffalo Bills moving on from their previous head coach,
01:36Sean McDermott, they have for a number of years.
01:38And they say, okay, just not good enough here.
01:39We need to elevate it.
01:40And they go to Joe Brady, but a guy that's been in-house here.
01:43The issue was never really the offense.
01:44It was more of squaring up that defense.
01:46How do you feel now with Joe Brady and also the pressure on his shoulders?
01:49Like, this isn't a let's give you a hit the ground running three, four years.
01:54They fired McDermott because he couldn't get to a Super Bowl.
01:57It feels like Brady better get to a Super Bowl next year,
01:59or is that a failure move?
02:01Yeah, it is.
02:01But you saw the press conference.
02:03He's very emotional.
02:05I love you guys.
02:06Thanks for coming out.
02:07Doesn't it feel like Josh Allen and the offensive playmakers
02:10are going to have more input in the team
02:12and what they want to see from an offensive philosophy perspective
02:17than maybe what they had with Sean McDermott?
02:19Again, here's the thing.
02:20If Joe Brady and this team are going to have great success
02:23and great success is obviously winning an AFC championship,
02:26that is the goal.
02:27It's not just getting to the playoffs.
02:29You have one of the top five quarterbacks potentially in the NFL
02:32elevated to a Super Bowl championship.
02:35You have to get wide receiver help.
02:37I mean, Keon Coleman is good,
02:39and I know Josh Allen says he's not giving up on zero,
02:42but they need legitimate speed on the outside to go with James Cook.
02:47We'll see if they can do it.
02:48I like Brady.
02:49He's worked against great quarterbacks back in the day like Joe Burrow,
02:53but the last time with Carolina, and I know the success now,
02:57with Matt Ruhle, it didn't work out,
02:59and they had Sam Donald and Baker Mayfield.
03:01Yeah, they need to stay healthy on defense.
03:03There's no question about that.
03:04But if you just ask anybody around the league or any fan,
03:07they need a number one wide receiver on that football team.
03:09They had a chance to get Jalen Waddell to trade deadline
03:11for a first-round pick.
03:12Didn't want to do it.
03:13And Brandon Bean somehow got a promotion after that
03:15while the head coach actually got fired.
