00:08Longtime exec in a successful organization in San Francisco was hired by the Titans entering 2023.

00:16And a lot happened in only two years as Tennessee's GM.

00:21Mike Vrabel was fired.

00:22Brian Callahan was hired.

00:24Ryan Tannehill and Derek Henry were let go.

00:28Will Levis was drafted.

00:30Tony Pollard was paid.

00:32As was Calvin Ridley.

00:33Only to be a 3-14 team in 2024 DRS.

00:37Well below a win total of 6-0.

00:40In the worst cover team we have ever seen in the history of the National Football League

00:44in the Super Bowl era.

00:462-15 against the spread without a single cover in any of the 14 losses for the Titans this year.

00:56What do you make of the move by Tennessee's ownership to dismiss Rand Carthan?

01:00But still hold on to Brian Callahan now entering year number two as the head coach in Nashville.

01:07Yeah, it's bad all the way around.

01:09Again, another one of those franchises where dad gifts the team to his daughter

01:12and we wind up in these type of situations, right?

01:14But also understand this.

01:15They've been horrible at drafting for years.

01:17Not just under Rand Carthan, but previously years before that.

01:20But how are you judged in today's world?

01:22It's you hire a head coach like, you know what?

01:24There's going to be excitement.

01:26Like Matt Eberfluss, when he originally was hired for the Chicago Bears,

01:29he used to joke around like four months later.

01:31But you would ask people, who's the Bears new head coach?

01:33They had no idea who it was.

01:34And it turns out they shouldn't because he was a terrible head coaching hire.

01:38But Brian Callahan going to the Tennessee Titans was like, what?

01:41Who?

01:41Never heard of that guy before.

01:43And I always joke about this.

01:44When the fan base hears a draft pick goes, never heard of that guy before?

01:47Trust me, it never, ever, ever works out.

01:49Same thing you're having now with Tennessee.

01:51I don't know why they just didn't blow it out with the general manager and also the head coach.

01:54And maybe they think the head coach actually has something.

01:56They should have bottomed out last year, which they didn't.

01:58They bottomed out this year, which is the direct

02:00incurrence here of the general manager.

02:02Also understand this, the last two number ones, which was drafted by Carthon,

02:06Latham and Skowronski, one a tackle, one a guard.

02:09Usually when you get high-end first-round talent on the offensive line,

02:13they are plug-and-play guys and good right away.

02:15You take a look at the pro football, excuse me, the PFF grades,

02:1855th and 50th between both of those players last year.

02:22That's unacceptable for top-end talent on the offensive line.

02:25Will Levis was the quarterback that you picked.

02:27Looked worse every single week.

02:29There was no more going up.

02:31It feels like you are at rock bottom right now for the Tennessee Titans.

02:34And I'm just surprised that they kept the head coach and are going to sign a general manager

02:39who's then going to be like, well, this isn't my head coach at the end of next year and fire him.

02:42Anyway, I don't get it.
