00:00Getting you ready for Super Bowl 60.
00:02That is the Seattle Seahawks going to take on the New England Patriots here
00:05down the right side along with Joe Leeson.
00:07Let's set the table for that game, which takes place next Sunday here.
00:10It's going to be some movement throughout the week,
00:12and once we get those final practice reports,
00:14making those final determinations, Joe.
00:15But we do see a 4.5 opening number bounced around for around 5.5,
00:21back to 4.5, but primarily 4.5 is now across the board.
00:24And a total of 45.5, which is down from 46.5 at the opening number, Joe.
00:28Let's start with the side itself.
00:30I don't think it's any confusion out here.
00:32To me, Seattle is the better football team,
00:34but I just want to see where those ticket counts end up
00:36because it's heavy right now towards the Seahawks.
00:39Yeah, I think we're going to get back down.
00:41I mean, I think we're going to see movement down to 4.
00:43I really do.
00:44Maybe even 3.5.
00:45The reason why I said that is what you said in the opening segment,
00:48as dominant as Seattle is,
00:50New England's undefeated on the road or on a neutral field this year.
00:54I think that's going to have more of a weight with short bettors
00:57as this game plays out.
00:59And, you know, to get a key number of 4, 4.5,
01:02it's similar to what we saw with Denver, right?
01:04We saw Denver a peak of 5.5, and then we got back down.
01:07It was 3.5, and we saw some 3s in the market.
01:11I don't think we get down to 3 based off this, you know, perception,
01:15but I do see maybe 3.5s or even a flat 4 in this matchup, Donnie.
01:20If we are taking a look at the teams and, like, who they played,
01:22it's no surprise that the easier schedule, quote-unquote,
01:25was the New England Patriots.
01:26But you can't fault them for winning football games.
01:28But as you take a look at the playoff run that they've had, Joe,
01:31the Chargers have a really good defense, 16-3 victory.
01:34The Texans have a really good defense, 28-16 victory here,
01:37and there was some weather concerns in that game.
01:39Same thing with the Denver Broncos, good defense and 10-7.
01:41They're battle-tested, and they're going to get another really good defense
01:44from Seattle on this side of it.
01:46So to me, I look at the game and say, I do want to take Seattle
01:49because I think they're the better football team.
01:51But also, Joe, we're talking about 24-20.
01:53You don't get to cover at that spot here, which is a big difference.
01:55Yeah, that's why I think you're going to start to see people dive in,
01:58you know, as the week progresses with the 4.5.
02:01It's like, hey, I want to bet the dog anyway.
02:03I know New England hasn't won a Super Bowl since Brady left,
02:08but now is an opportunity, and they're sort of doing it eerily
02:12like Bill Belichick used to do, right?
02:14We don't have a lot of household names like elite playmakers, JSN,
02:19or some of the others, you know.
02:21And when you look at this team, they're just a very well-coached,
02:24disciplined football team that works off for turnovers.
02:27They're rarely out of position and give up chunk plays
02:31on the defensive side of the ball.
02:32So, again, when you look at that and you look at, okay,
02:35there's always the potential, as good as he's played,
02:38for Sam Darnold to be Sam Darnold.
02:40I'm not taking away from him.
02:42But with a two-week hiatus, you know,
02:44this could disrupt the train in motion, per se,
02:48and that could allow Drake May and New England
02:50to maybe potentially be within margin and steal a victory.
02:54Both of these quarterbacks probably happy to have that bye week.
02:56Sam Darnold's still dealing with a little bit of that oblique injury,
02:58which didn't seem like it bothered him all that much against Los Angeles,
03:01even though there were the visuals of him getting wrapped up
03:03with the heat wraps to try to keep that oblique warm.
03:05But understanding Drake May, where he gets tackled
03:08in that football game from behind, maybe hurts his shoulder
03:10just a little bit, finished the game out, they won that.
03:12But also now, coming up on the practice reports, Joe,
03:15limited in activities and also a little bit sick to end the week.
03:17Both of these quarterbacks are telling us here,
03:19along with their coaching staffs, we shouldn't have any worries.
03:21Do you have any worries about these two quarterbacks?
03:23No. Health-wise, no.
03:25I think they're both ready to go.
03:26The only concern is which one's more dialed in
03:29as it relates to the passing attack.
03:31And if I had to bet right now,
03:33I probably would bet Drake May
03:35just because he needs to get to that number
03:38to potentially pull out the victory.
03:40Again, I don't think if they're going to play bully ball
03:43and try to grind out a 17-13 win,
03:46I just think this is the wrong team to do it against.
03:49I think they're significantly outmatched
03:51on the defensive side of the ball
03:53with the front seven led by Demarcus Lawrence and Seattle.
03:56And it's going to be very difficult
03:58to just line up and run it, Donnie.
04:00And that's the problem.
04:01Looking at that total, Joe, the 46 and a half,
04:03I'm actually surprised that we dropped the 45 and a half
04:05because if we're taking a look at this football game,
04:07not anticipating 32 degrees, snowy conditions,
04:10heavy winds here,
04:11and you should have pristine conditions out there
04:13in Santa Clara,
04:14I do think both of these teams
04:15have the opportunity to score.
04:16I'm not worried about Seattle's offense
04:18because I do think it'll score.
04:19I just need to get matched up for New England
04:21just to say to myself, you know what,
04:22can they get to that 20-point marker
04:24because then I do think both of these teams
04:25will end up going over there.
04:27Your thought process on these two offenses, Joe,
04:29coming into this game?
04:30Yeah, I think Seattle pushed tempo.
04:32Look, Seattle's more balanced, I believe,
04:34than Drake May and New England,
04:37and I know Drake May has great numbers,
04:39but when you just look at the mentality
04:41and philosophy of Seattle,
04:43they want to run the football,
04:46but they also want to stretch vertically.
04:47Every throw is going downfield.
04:49They finally got Rasheed Shahid involved
04:52on the 50-yard reception.
04:53Could he play a bigger part in this offense?
04:56And again, when you look at New England,
04:59I just think they're going to have to take shots.
05:01I don't think they can just run Ramondre Stevenson,
05:05you know, for 2.5 yards per carry on 26 carries
05:08and hope to be within margin.
05:10They're going to have to score potentially 20-23
05:13in this matchup,
05:14and we'll see if they can get there.
