00:00Do you think it's too late for diplomacy here, or is there still room to de-escalate the situation between the U.S. and Iran?
00:07Well, President Trump made it very clear in his Truth Social yesterday, saying, let's make a deal.
00:12Time is running out.
00:14He's giving the leaders in Iran a window to call him up.
00:18As of yesterday, Steve Whitcoff says that he has not been contacted yet by leadership.
00:23So I found that to be really, really interesting.
00:25You know, I think what we're talking about here is really President Trump not wanting to actually go into this alone.
00:35I think the one thing that happened to Venezuela, we're seeing the same movie again.
00:40He's positioning it with the narrative in Venezuela that this was going to be, you know, this was narco-terrorism.
00:46We need to go in there to protect the U.S. mainland.
00:49In this case, this is a very, very foreign war.
00:52This is helping protesters in Iran.
00:54We saw 6,000 protesters killed just this past month.
00:59We can't stomach that.
01:00But at the same time, we're saying, look, there's a nuclear threat to the U.S.
01:03So all of that wrapped up.
01:05President Trump, I don't believe he wants to go in this alone like we did in Venezuela.
01:10I think he wants to have allies join him.
01:13He's trying to build a worldwide case for it.
01:16But at the same time, he's saying, look, I don't want to wait any longer.
01:19You know, we struck them in June of last year and they didn't stop.
01:25They didn't take that as a real stronghold to say, you've got to stop your programs.
01:31You know, we don't want to see this anywhere near, especially in the Middle East, after all that's been built.
01:36So I think President Trump, you know, if he is going to strike, he would like to have some partners in this.
01:42He would like to have some allies join him in this.
01:44And I think he's testing the waters for it right now.
