00:00On social media, we have seen the U.S. president say we have control of the skies over Iran.

00:09I emphasise he wrote we and he went on to post that U.S. won't take out Iran's supreme leader yet

00:18and called for the country's unconditional surrender.

00:23This all comes as the U.S. moves more military assets in the region.

00:28Some military analysts see this as preparations necessary to execute a bunker buster strike

00:35on Iran's nuclear facility hidden deep underground.

00:39So, Scott, let me start with you.

00:41Does it now sound like even though the U.S. has been distancing itself from Israel's operation,

00:48is the U.S. preparing to bomb Iran?

00:53Well, I don't know for certain, but I'm afraid that they are.

00:56And I have heard from sources that I would think would know in a position to know that they are certainly prepared to

01:06and that they had been told that it could happen as soon as yesterday, which, thank goodness, it did not happen yesterday.

01:13I know there's been a lot of outcry and public opinion in the United States against it,

01:17including and perhaps especially on the right from Trump's base against this.

01:22And I hope that he's hearing that and at least considering his options more carefully.

01:28But I think it's right that the Israelis have total air dominance over at least much of the country.

01:33I don't know exactly how much of it.

01:35And I'm sorry because I have been traveling and I'm a bit out of touch on the very latest reports,

01:42but I don't believe from what I've heard that Israel has even attempted yet or succeeded

01:48in completely destroying the underground facilities at Natanz and Fordo where the centrifuges are.

01:54And so there's the possibility, I'm not a military expert, but it seems possible that they need American heavy bombers

02:04to bring in big enough bombs to accomplish that mission.

02:08And so it could be that the Israelis have to some degree cleared the way for that at this point.
